The "anonymous" nature of the internet is getting old. There is change all around the world in internet communities for transparency. People want to know who they are talking to and they want accountability. You don't know if you're talking to a 12 year old juvenile delinquent or a 55 year old CEO millionaire.

I propose the Management of the SEC Rant recommend real verified profile information about posters including optional pictures and other personal information that helps to understand who you're communicating with. And add optional information about personal circumstances that will help all of us know who is a fraud, a phony, FOS, and who is not.

I belong to a professional internet community that requires full transparency - name, age, address, employment info etc for the full, fair, and honest exchange of ideas and information. It completely changes the dynamics and everyone suddenly becomes acutely accountable for what they post.

If not on the main board maybe on a special forum that stresses honesty and accountability through transparency.

Disagree. The anonymity of the sports message board format is what drives the discussion. And the out of bounds opinions.

Seriously, if you took away the anonymous part of the rant I can almost guarantee you'd lose a lot of regular posters.
Not everyone wants their info out there.
Sure, it'd be nice to get to know who you're talking to but if that happened you'd probably lose some trolls and shite talkers

If the RANT makes this rule I will be glad to be the first to post personal information.

The anonymity has gotten old and something has to change.

eta - Congress is contemplating this change now - all governments worldwide are seriously considering it. Anonymity allows anyone to say anything with zero accountability. It used to be fun but it's not fun anymore. I want to know who I'm talking to.

I'll start. We need to have an honest discussion
I'm 6'6" 250lbs with 5% body fat. I pose as a nuclear physicist during the day but I'm secretly a covert CIA assassin.

I am what you would assume most of us are:

1). White male
2). Middle class
3). A demon in the bedroom - if only I had the chance.

Hi, I'm a 60 year old Caucasian man, been married 36 years.have a son and daughter and three grandsons.

I have been a Razorback fan since the first grade,1964.Since no one else in my family followed sports I became the first in my family to not only follow them but to participate in them.I used to listen to the games on an AM radio.

I played football, basketball and was a high jumper, long jumper and sprinter in track.

I began to get interested in girls, early on like fith grade, and found that being an athlete was beneficial with the chicks. If you played sports chicks were like drawn to you.So I couldn't wait til high school when the chicks were grown up and me as well...

Then there was this one chick who was very smart book wise, and very pretty and she took a liking to me.Well she was very willing to except my advances and before you know it....

I've always operated under the assumption that everyone on here was full of shite.

It's served me well.

Ew, hell no.

As a female who likes sports, I have come to accept that I will be vastly outnumbered by men if I want to have sports discussions. And that's cool.

But I'm not sharing pics or any RL info with strangers.
