The media was pretty much all in on Auburn cheating. The NCAA still didn't do anything about it. Deal with it!

Ole Miss isn't in the category of those schools.

Even CNN is hammering this story. NCAA will make an example of Ole Miss.

OSU's post season ban cost them a National Championship and gifted one to Bama. OSU would have played ND instead of Bama and hammered them just the same.

and let's put this in perspective..OSU players traded their own possesions at fair market value for another commodity...not money.

and after Scam Newton and then the obvious flaunting of Johnny frickup signing memorabilia and selling for thousands ...and NCAA watched and did nothing..not sure anyone will ever get another penalty from the NCAA for taking, making, stealing, or even manufacturing money.

I know we paid Cam Newton. We should have paid him $1,000,000. However that being said the NCAA could not find any evidence of Auburn & anything tied to money. What is the NCAA going to do in this scenario?

Everybody that's not an Auburn fan knows Cam was bought. No one else believes you, unless they're an idiot.

What did Auburn do? It was MSU that broke rules.

And we were anything but ignored.

Revisionist history is awesome.

Yes, "the transfer QB that would never work and can't hit the broad side of a barn" had to be bought to sway him away from MSU.

Ole Miss is going to end up taking care of a lot of boners. They were on thin ice over a year ago.

Right.. Not a single person thought Cam would pan out, he was actually the subject of "LOL @ Auburn" prior to the season starting. It's not like Cam was a hot commodity for major programs during his time at Blinn.

Doesn't matter though. Most folks were so sure Auburn was going to get hammered for something only to look like fools left holding their flaccid dicks in their hand, so I can see why people would hold on to the notion. It was a life consuming obsession for many people. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Uh. No. Speculating much, are you not?

What difference does this make? if you give them money they just take that money and get the same thing, right?

You got a link that says Manziel got thousands of dollars for his autographs? I must have missed that.

I didn't say anything about Auburn. But, I will comment. It is not against the rules to call the SEC office and report a case of extortion where a player's dad is pimping his son.

It's a little less compelling of a call when it occurs only after your school tried and failed to come up with the money, though.

IMO..it's a big difference trading an award you won, or a ring you won for something of equal value.

and ..where were you..when this was news? Like I said..after Scam..nothing will ever stick..not with social media proof..not with eye-witness proof. The NCAA only caught OSU players because of an FBI investigation of totally unrelated circumstances...and OSU players owned up to it. If it was today..all they had to do was deny and threaten to sue and nothing would have ever come of it.

Exactly. 6 years later, and the fact that Cam still rustles jimmies is beautiful. AU went threw 13-months of exhaustive investigation for ultimately something that MSU did and not only did they find zero major infractions, they found zero secondary violations as well. I challenge any school in the SEC to undergo that type of scrutiny and come out unscathed. The rest of the schools know this and it irks the shite out of them.
