Only because if LSU wins that game, they are easily the greatest college team ever. Let's say Oklahoma State gets in instead of Bama. LSU would have beaten the PAC/Rose Bowl Champs, the Big East/Orange Bowl Champs, the Sugar Bowl Champs-Bama would've won easily, and the Big 12 Champs in the title game while going undefeated in the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football, the SEC West. The game itself I got over a long time ago. The history and chance to be the GOAT, I'll likely never get over.
