Uf fans, not trying to upset, just heard rumor (look we all hear them, most are bs, but who knows) that Muschamp would get call from Texas (seems like a good chance) if Brown leaves this year (a chance, maybe 50-50?) and that Muschamp would maybe take job if offered (always a chance, just not sure how much). Just wonder if any of you have heard or worry about this...

no. UF is a destination job and he has them set for great things next year. Would be a big surprise if he bolted for another project.

Pretty sure Muschamp left there pissed off. That whole "coach in waiting" thing was supposed to be a short gig.

I don't think there's much chance of that.

Muschamp is setting himself up for a National Championship run next year. No chance he leaves.

I doubt it. he looks dependable and trustworthy. I can sometimes tell that by looking at a person's physical appearance only.

Sorry SEC....Boom is home now...he grew up in Gainesville and he along with family were Gator fans during the 1980s...he went to a lot of games.

There is ZERO chance he would leave...has young boys who are growing up Gator fans and living the good life.

I tried to tell everyone on this board back in August what was coming and y'all blew it off. You kept thinking of 2011...well...guess what? 2013 going be mudderfracker for the SEC...Boom has his sights set on SECCG & title...he will get it soon too.

I would be shocked. HC at an elite school in the SEC beats anything else.

Neither Meyer nor Spurrier left UF for another college job. Muschamp has so many connections to UF, Gainesville and the SEC that it would seem highly unlikely.

Meyer didnt grow up in Gainseville...DID HE? Read my reply and learn something. Spurrier was with UF twelve years before leaving for the Redskins job.

WTF was your point?

He probably just realize you don't have to put up with the Tejas political BS if you want to coach at a big time school......

Splitting hairs perhaps - but my point is destination school = Don't leave.

Spurrier left to take another coaching job. The fact that it was in the NFL is moot.

Meyer left for his health. And took a job at a destination school one year later.

That's my point.

I guess LSU is just a stepping-stone job then too, right?

Texas should ire Mack Brown. No team plays softer than them. For all their talent, they get rolled by lesser teams regularly. They are just not nearly as tough as they should be.
