Johnny Majors was a star at UT, a favorite son and pretty sure he finished second in Heisman votes in early 1950s?

He had a bad drinking problem that was well known. Doug Dickey was coach at UT before Majors arrived, then he quit in 1969 right after Gator Bowl to coach at UF...the only hitch was the team that beat him in the 1969 Gator Bowl was none other than UF. There was some grumbling...but it was no secret Ray Graves the coach of the Gators from 1960-69 was going to retire and become AD at UF. Dickey had several good seasons at UT. UF had a group called the Super Sophs with QB John Reaves (father of Layla Kiffin....yes that Kiffin) WR Carlos Alvarez and a very potent offense...unfortunatel Dickey decided to let the UF OC go (he had lots of offers as HC and went to UCLA and also ended up at Ga Tech where he had a QB asst named Spurrier or something like that) Pepper Rodgers was ahead of his time and like throwing the ball.

Enter 1970 and Dickey wants veer offense and he suffered for it til 1973. Dickey had some decent wishbone teams in mid to late 1970s...very potent run game with pizz poor defense. In 1978 he hired Spurrier as QB coach and was fired after that season....whole staff including Spurrier were unemployed and Pepper Rodgers hired him in 1979 at Tech.

Dickey went to UT as AD and had long stay. He had Johnny as the HC and Fulmer, the ex OL at UT was an asst. He was a mean drunk at times. Johnny beat Spurrier in his first season at UF 45-3 and score wasnt close. Funny game where UT led 7-3 at halftime...Dale Carter returned 2nd half kickoff for TD and the flood gates opened up...game was in Knoxville and I almost went...glad I didnt...but had to replace TV after throwing glass of rum at it. Bailing out of jail in Knoxvegas would have cost more

We actually won the SEC that year but denied title and bowl game because of bullshite NCAA violation that never was close to being proved. Dooley by the way at UGA was on SEC Infractions committee Im pretty sure and Im know he wanted us grabbing our ankles any chance he got.

You are a damned liar.

I could make you look like the idiot you are, but you're not worth time.

Phil covered up thugs? Phil learned the hard way about jumping the gun. Nilo Silvan. Now STFU.

WRONG!

Scrooter's coach, Steve Spurrier, was the first to rat them out. Fulmer only verified Spurrier's accusations with his testimony.

If you people are going to run off at the dick sucker, at least get your facts straight.
