The Brandon Harris doubters continue to pile up. An Arkansas defensive back talked some trash about the LSU quarterback.

Redshirt freshman safety Santos Ramirez, a Louisiana native, is pretty excited about returning to his home state this weekend when the Razorbacks travel to Baton Rouge, La. He took out most of his aggression by critiquing Harris’ play.

He is predictable where he wants to go,” Ramirez told The Arkansas News’ Eric W. Bolin. “He has got a good arm on him but he’s not as accurate. He’s not very good with the ball in terms of decision making, but he can really throw the ball and he can get receivers behind us and we have to be careful with it.”

Do all Arkansas players offer such candid analysis?

Also, sounds a little bitter.

Ramirez’s strong feelings have a basis. He was offered a scholarship to LSU but was given second-option. Basically, he was a fallback option for the Tigers.

No thanks, he said. He’s been primed for this game ever since.

“I have been looking forward trying to get to LSU,” Ramirez said. “I have some past ties with them and I want to get down there and show them what I’m all about.”

LSU's offense was very predictable against Bama and their oline didn't hold up well ~ unless Coach Miles shakes things up some and cuts Harris loose, Arky will pose a problem.

I mean he's not wrong. We run a bunch of 1 and 2 receiver sets which usually just go to the deepest receiver. Dupre or Dural, who's deeper? Chuck it to him.

Given that he's only got one INT on the year, I'll disagree with this. He doesn't make a bunch of poor decisions.

He does average 1.2 td passes in the sec play.

Obviously, a great qb.

In 2000, LSU had 5 players from Evangel on our roster. One of them was named Booty.

Jacob Hester was from Evangel, but we've had very few players from Evangel since. I think Rasco is the only one since Hester.

I don't follow recruiting much but the rumors I heard were that the Booty family pretty much disowned LSU and has badmouthed us to everyone at Evangel.

He could be totally right.

I don't know many head coaches that would be ecstatic about a redshirt freshman giving his opinion on such matters though.

I guess Bert encourages his defensive backs to offer up such analysis.

It's not like he called him a scrub or made a joke about Les's wife

He's totally outclassed by Dural and Dupre. He can know the exact play call and still get beat.

he isn't exactly saying anything wrong. he is blunt and I appreciate that. he had an lsu offer but was considered a back up option to them. he didn't appreciate that. he is a good player. young but brings the wood.

Arkansas should absolutely dip into Louisiana and get players that LSU pass up.

I chuckled.

Speaking of chest, I was wondering how the hell Gunner Kiel is doing.

Just looked it up. Kiel threw for 523 yards in a loss to Houston last Saturday. Not too shabby. Memphis apparently blew him up though.
