Hell, Texas's whole "isolate A&M plan" is based on the fact it worked so well with Arky. When something works, you don't stop. Not when there is so many other teams Longhorn fans would rather play.

Texas never isolated us. We isolated ourselves somewhat in regard to recruiting when we joined the SEC. We realized this before our departure and it just took a little time to establish ourselves in respect to recruiting within the SEC. A&M will not face this problem. It's behind us now. The "problem" was short term.

Furthermore, by the time we did play Texas again, we were well established within the SEC and were recruiting better from the SEC states, etc. The move to the SEC was the best one thing that's ever happened to our program IMO.

By the time we whooped that Longhorn butt in the 2000 Cotton bowl and 2003 OOC game in Austin, they had lost a lot of their mystique, since they could no longer control the officials.

However, it would still be fun to play them.

The over 40 Texas fans I know consider TAMU and OU their rivals, but readily concede that they absolutely loathe the Hogs.

That is okay with us, because we despise them too.

Okie Light would probably get nasty in a hurry if we started to play them again

Ourselves. We never fight or argue with other fanbases as much as we do each other.

A rival is not needed.

OU would be if we ever played them.

We play OU about as frequently as we have Mizzou (basically never outside a few bowl games), but OU fans bleed over into Arkansas. They just seem to be douchebags without any exceptions.

I see OU tags and I hate them automatically. I don't feel that way even about LSU or Ole Miss.

Not LSU. I would welcome a series with OU or OSU

NWA vs LR crowd or just play Arky State

I'll go with the Arkansas State game, not as a potential rivalry, but to beat the ever living dog shite out of them for a few years so they will STFU.

Re: NWA vs. LR crowd...NWA would demand that the "shouting match" be held at Razorback Stadium...and that's OK. It would still be loud as a mf, something LR fans know how to do.

Since you are unable to give yourself a reach around, I'd say your fiercest rival would be yourself. But maybe you'll find a way. Tell us how it goes.

It's so cute to see how much Hog fans want a rival.

I don't know if it's good or bad we have rivalries with so many teams. Either means we're obnoxious pricks or actually have a good football history to have some great series.

You can give yourself a reach around? That's kinda messed up.

Keep trying, but we all know you have no retort to said wit that you cannot fathom. Let me break it down for ya.

You keep fricking yourselves.

One thing for certain...Mizzou won't be the one fricking us...this year or any time in the near future. Keep dreaming about that Cotton Bowl win when we were without an OC, or competent "one game" coach.
