Didn't this stadium have to close for a few years due to Aggie engineering?

The book capacity for both the Permian and San Angelo stadiums are both a little below 20,000 but that doesn't stop them from putting 20,000 in the stands.

Although smaller, this new $47 million stadium in Beaumont is no slouch.

Football only means no track around it. It doesn't mean you can't ever put soccer crap on it.

To be fair....if we're judging based on how "nice" a stadium looks...then this one pretty much beats out a very large portion of college stadiums.

...which very likely includes your stadium.

Rhodes Stadium, where Katy High (they of many, many state championships) plays is only ~9,500 or so. Which is crazy small given their success and the high local population. That's smaller than Bryan High's stadium! Franklin, Texas, which is 2A, has a stadium with a larger capacity than the population of the town!

No, it doesn't. In high school stadium parlance it most definitely means "not also a track and field stadium" and does not signify anything about the ability of people to drag soccer goals onto it, which is something you can do to any stadium.

Pretty cool seeing my high school Alma Mater (Broken Arrow) mentioned here.

And yeah, 42-7. BA either goes playoffs hard or gets shite on the entire season. Kinda like Auburn, top 5 or bottom 5 no inbetween.

People from up north have no understanding whatsoever of the rabid level of support for Texas High School football.
