The targeting rule shouldn't even exist. Worst rule in football. Fournette got his dick knocked in the dirt. That happens in football. It's a violent sport.
Most of it shouldn't exist. I'll agree with that. But the rule is what it is.

Because being a college football fan we care more about what our players do after they leave, right?

Have you even seen the videos of henry's lateral movement drills? If his line doesn't dominate and get to the linebackers he can't move laterally well at all to make them miss
Yeldon will have a better career than him

What does that have to do with my statement of:

That is definitely not the rushing defense of either Eastern Michigan or Texas Tech

I'm old enough to remember when Fournette was heralded as "the next Adrian Peterson" before he even played a down.

maybe, maybe not. Fournette hasn't taken a snap in the NFL yet, and Henry is playing behind a pro-bowler. Henry had a solid season as a backup. Does Fournette have a higher ceiling and probably more raw skills, probably. But making an affirmation like that is pretty premature IMO

Perfect example of why this thread exists.

Multiple draft experts called him the next generational talent and compared him to Bo Jackson, Hershchel Walker, and Adrian Peterson. And this was after his college career. For some reason nobody wants to admit it.

He was a good college RB but just about all of what I've seen of him is him feasting on weak, overmatched defenses and getting shut down by any defense with a pulse.
He doesn't seem as athletic as any of those guys you listed above from what I've seen. He's a one-cut back.

He pretty much dominated every team LSU plays besides Bama. Arkansas had a couple good games against him.

Looking at his college career stats, he had a couple of good games against Florida, a mediocre Notre Dame, and a decent Wisconsin.

One of the great what-ifs in SEC football history. He was a great player at LSU. Easily one of the best in the conference from 2014-16. Had he gone to Alabama he wouldn't have been a great player. He would have been a legend.

In 2015 he rushed for 1,953 yards in 12 games averaging 6.51 yards per carry. Averaging 6.33 ypc against Power5 teams.
With Les Miles as his head coach and offensive coordinator and Brandon Harris at QB

Look at the first page of this thread. It's nothing but SEC team fans piling on Fournette without an LSU fan saying anything to provoke it.
Because this is the first thread ever about Fournette.
We already know how sensitive LSU is about him before this thread was ever started
