Fournette threads are just catnip. Even those of us who generally don't want to needle and prod get caught up in using it to upset people. People aren't riled up by Fournette, they just like the inevitable reaction to looking at Fournette.

Opposing fans trip over themselves to tell us all how bad Fournette is, was and will be. He's been as polarizing as Manziel on this board.

Like it or not that's a fact.

That's definitely possible, I guess I can only speak for myself.

I had totally forgotten about Manziel. That's a pretty good comparison.

Why do people hate LF so much?

That's exactly what I was coming to post. He's probably the most humble superstar of the last decade and everybody in the SEC makes fun of him every chance they get.

Like I said I think people just like poking LSU fans about Fournette. Just like LSU people and Derek Henry.

Both kids seem like great dudes. I'd hope nobody actually hates them and wishes them poor performance. I hope LF kills it.

I don't think people "hate" him as much as the hype some of the lsu faithful pounded how great he was. With the fact that he was doing Heisman stance freshman year, failing to live up to the hype(not his fault) and then basically quitting on his team at the end just rubs people the wrong way.
He is a tremendous talent that should do well in the NFL.

LINK

"The Jaguars weren't playing with full contact, but several defenders bent the rules in front of the large audience.

Cornerback A.J. Bouye knocked wide receiver Allen Hurns down on the first play of 11-on-11 drills. Defensive tackle Sheldon Day blew through the center of the offensive line and shoulder tackled first-round pick Leonard Fournette, who fumbled the ball "

You can call it whatever you want but for most anyone outside the 225 area code that's the thought process.

Well even if you think that's not true, I think the gist of it is right. No slight because he's a great player but he may have been overhyped a bit here so, in turn, he's (or actually lsu fans are) gonna get hell here when things don't go well. I think mostly it's just poking the bear kinda thing.

LSU's sensitivity about LF7 is what drives people to these threads

True. The man is a gifted athlete who dominated bad defenses and did indeed quit on his team. Bitch made.

Fournette sat out the bowl game only to be killed in practice with the Jags.

Per the rule it doesn't matter where you hit him if you lead with the crown of the helmet.

ETA: He also launched.

The targeting rule shouldn't even exist. Worst rule in football. Fournette got his dick knocked in the dirt. That happens in football. It's a violent sport.

Look at the first page of this thread. It's nothing but SEC team fans piling on Fournette without an LSU fan saying anything to provoke it.
