The hate for Childress is largely unfounded, though he has underachieved in the postseason. He's still been very consistent in getting us there.
The unrest involving basketball and football was/is completely reasonable however. Kennedy should absolutely have been fired after 2015 and Sumlin is currently topping every hot list ranking.
Equating those situations to baseball is a dishonest attempt to trivialize valid criticisms.

childress has gone the way of most head coaches during their first gig. Hes learned and changed his approach to both coaching and recruiting. Moving from the B12 to SEC caused a hiccup but hes made the necessary adjustments.

That's the thing about Baseball, maybe because of the pace of the game I don't know but it is a lot more civilized. Several LSU and A&M Fans congratulating each other here recently for crying out loud..

The other thing about the Bryant story was that his wife was extremely unhappy in College Station. Rob's wife is an Aggie.

We've been told for years by "folks in the know" that Mrs. Saban hates it in Alabama. Seems to be working out for us anyway.

I had soured on Childress after 2014 when we had fallen back to a 2/3 seed type team there but I was definitely wrong. Hate for him after last year was ridiculous with what he did after all our injuries. I feel like we will break through at some point with him
