Sorry. Didnt mean for that to come off harsh. I got tons of respect for Walker. One of the greatest ever. However, as the title speaks also to bo, I was looking to see if he was in the competition.

As far as Bo vs Herschel, I dont see that as a competition. Both in an elite class all on their own. I personally see them as 1A and 1B of the two greatest the SEC ever produced. I graduated from Auburn in 1984. I saw them both play live. A privilege every time.

Of course Bo wasn't in the competition. He wasn't good enough to even compete, let alone win.

Bo was a very good athlete. Herschel was that and more. He transcends athletics.

Yes.

In person.

Multiple times.

And your "by far" characterization isn't even questionable... its fricking LAUGHABLE.

Anybody who says Bo Jackson was overrated as frick never saw him play. NOBODY would say that who is old enough to have seen him IRL. I say the same thing about Walker. Both AMAZING. Both were easily the best player on the field for either team any time they stepped on the playing surface, regardless of the sport.

EXACTLY. Herschel has proven through the years (world champion sprinter, Winter Olympic medalist, etc., etc.) that he is a unique specimen in the world of sports.

I'll give Bo his props, but Herschel is still doing it. Better than Bo then, completely on a different plane than Bo now.

Just shows his greatness. He decided to handicap himself with A1 and STILL kicked cooking's arse.

Number 34 has passed within 20 yards of me many times. He running and me, along with a lot of others, on the sideline.

He is by far the best offensive college player I have ever seen in person, and it's between he and OJ on television.

Very approachable and friendly. I liked him.

Can't say he was the best ever, period. LT and Clemson's Terry Kinard come to mind, as well as Bama's Julio Jones before the injury.

Bo's cooking skills were too good for that shitty competition. He would blow Herschel away on the field and in the kitchen.

Herschel >>>> Bo
Bo didn't have the durability that Herschel had.

bo had a freak injury that wasn't diagnosed till it was too late to recover ... both were equals on the football field, but bo was pretty damn good in another sport that requires a good bit of athletic ability/agility/coordination completely different from football ...
