Hershel was the best, but Henry is closing in Bo. A couple of epic games in the playoffs will make it a discussion. Henry is killing it this year behind a mediocre line and a game manager at QB, those are facts. He has carried this offense all year.

Tider you're crazy about your Oline! Every analyst I've heard this year says Bama has the number #1 line in the country.

That of course depends on who he plays for at the next level. Just look at All Day, has he even won a playoff game with the Vikings?

Dude stop, please Now if you going to say that about LSU and Fournette then you are spot on and I can say our line is better than medicore. Sorry, you dumb, those are far from facts!!

walker only had 11 games to achieve numbers, however, he did it against slower defenses and antiquated defensive schemes. henry has done it pretty much in nfl jr. therefore henry> walker

Ok the OL isn't as bad as some Bama fans make it out to be but it is far, far from the best in the nation. They're 98th in the nation with 84 TFLs given up. The only conssistanly good one is Ryan Kelly.
I don't think Henry is better than Walker though.

This is beyond a joke, yea the 230lb Walker with 4.3 speed would have really struggled in today's game. Henry even in his dreams is not in Walker's class, unbelievable.

Henry should never be in that discussion ever.
He is a product of the best recruiting machine in College Football, Bama has had the best O-line in the country for 4 years.
Let's see how good he is running for Vanderbilt or Kentucky.
Guys like Herschel, Sanders and Bo are in a class by themselves.
Henry will always be second tier, which ain't bad.

That moment when you realize that Ryan Kelly was barely a 4 star ( No. 3 Center, #235 overall), Dominick Jackson was a 4 star, Piersbacher was a 4 star, and Alphonse Taylor was a 4 star (No. 263 overall). These are kids that any school could get, and with that realization you have to choose between:
1) Elite recruiting machine and just dominant Oline
2) Mediocre Oline and superb coaching leading to dominant Oline
3) Mediocre Oline and good coaching leading to mediocre/good Oline
The answer is actually number 3 right now. Alabama's line is not very solid this year. Cam Robinson has struggled mightily, and Piersbacher is extremely young. Ryan Kelly is a great center, but he's not the reason why we're getting consistent TFLs against.

Bo is sill tGOAT, but it's safe to say that both Henry and Fournette have passed Herschel
Bo did nothing, and I do mean nothing to have anyone make the statement he was a better RB than Herschel.
College career, pro career, Herschel has it all over Bo.
Bo's one claim to fame is a mediocre professional baseball career to go with a mediocre professional football career.
And when you barners get all butthurt about that....just look at the stats.
Who ran for more yards in college? Herschel by almost 1000 yards. Did it in 3 years to Bo's 4. Want some more funny stuff? Bo had one season, one of more than 1213 yards. All 3 of Herschel's are over 1600.
Pros? Herschel. If you add in the USFL stats, Herschel has 4x the rushing yards. Total yards? Herschel has 5x the NFL numbers, again leaving out the USFL numbers.
Bo's a solid #2 in SEC RB history. But Herschel stands alone, and it ain't close. I have Henry no better than 3rd, really should probably be 4th behind DMAC.

Henry isn't worthy of wiping Herschel Walker's arse!
Posted on 12/11/15 at 5:37 pm to undecided
Henry faced bigger and faster defenses and done it on less carries. Derrick Henry is the greatest RB in SEC history. Deal with it.

And how many more carries did Herschel have than Bo? Bo had a much superior YPC average than Herschel and that's a much better measure. I could outrush them both eventually if you give me enough carries, it'd just be a yard at a time.
College:
-Herschel, 5.3 YPC, 1 TD every 20 runs
-Bo, 6.6 YPC, 1 TD every 15 runs
NFL:
-Herschel, 4.2 YPC, 1 TD every 32 runs
-Bo, 5.4 YPC, 1 TD every 32 runs
And yes, Bo's baseball career was pretty mediocre after the hip replacement. Before that he was only an All-Star and one of the best fielders in history. No biggie. His NFL career was pretty mediocre considering it was a hobby he did for fun and came in halfway through the season in baseball shape and split carries with a Hall of Famer and still made the Pro Bowl.

Didn't Bo Jackson suffer a career ending injury? You can't compare his pro stats to Herschel

Compare the same number of years, Herschel smokes Bo.
Pro, College, same difference.

Fewer TD's, Fewer yards, thanks for providing more proof Bo ranks a distant 2nd.
If ypc was an important metric, Bobby Douglas would have won the NFL MVP in 1972. BTW...ran for more yards than Bo's best season in the pros....and he was a QB. Oh yeah...and twice as many TD's.
Like most barners, you confuse potential with achievement.
Do you know what would have, could have and should have all added up together equal?
Didn't.
