herschel has roughly 5300 yrds in 3 years at rb ... bo was an all star at football and baseball (equally as good at the college level in both) ...

henry is a very good college rb ...

troll attempt is weak troll attempt ...

Auburn fans have to be the only fan base so insecure and sensitive that they randomly lash out at other fan bases (mostly UGA and Bama) because of feeling inferior.

You have lost you're mind!

Herschel won the heisman in his Jr year, his worst season. They wouldn't give it to an under classman back then. He should have won it all 3 years!

No. Herschel was a beast when almost no team threw the ball more than 10-12 times a game. I bet he could suit up now and still look impressive (for a 53 year old man).

To be honest, I didn't realize Henry was having such a great season until the last few weeks. The times I've seen him play, he was good, but he wasn't Herschel, Bo or DMac good. I'm quite surprised that he put up such great numbers, but I may not have seen him enough.

Took him 13 games

Henry still did it with fewer carries. The "13 games vs 11 games" thing shouldn't mean much when the guy who played 11 games touched the ball more.

That being said I don't think Henry is in Herschel's league. His production is there though.

I do agree that Herschel should have won it at least another time and probably two. He was that good.

I know it is apple and oranges but he was VERY dominant.

I would imagine it's harder work on the body carrying it that often in less games just due to getting beat up every time you touch the ball and not being able to rest during a game but I have no proof.

at no point, at any time, would this ever be a discussion.

It seems that absence really does make the heart grow fonder. The passage of time since Herschel Walker's playing days seem to have led to a growth in his already mythical status among SEC fans--and Georgia fans in particular. While undoubtedly a great player, I think people who were around to actually watch him play have buoyed his legacy by remembering him for being greater than he actually was. Indeed, it seems that, at least in Georgia fans' eyes, no player will ever--or perhaps can ever--reach such a status, so great has Walker's legacy become. That bias isn't really fair for players in the modern day, but it is what it is.

No. No he's not. I'm not even sure he's the best Bama's ever had.

I assume you weren't around when Hershel played.
