Arky and Missouri Ozarks are WELL worth it. Very underrated.

I've been to every state, but Missouri and Kentucky were day-trips only.

I'm planning on traveling there for the Bama-Mizzou basketball game this year, but only if it falls on a Saturday. How's the live music there? Would love to pack in a great weekend for the trip.

Thanks for the suggestions

I'm not a big live music guy but I've heard that the Blue Note in Columbia is awesome.

Also, if you like history, visit the State Capitol or the old Missouri State Penitentiary (built in 1836).

If you don't want to take Highway 63 and you want to take the shorter route through STL, make sure to visit the little town of Hermann. It's got so much to do and see down there.

I've never been to Arkansas, Missouri, or Kentucky. I wish I'd never been to Mississippi.

Spent some fun evenings around Five Points. People were great. bars were fun.

Stephen Garcia agrees with this.

ETA: And yes, I've been to all of the SEC states. Some were just travelling thru, some were just lay overs, but I've technically been to them all.

Yes I had the SEC states all down before I was 20. However although I've been to Texas and Missouri multiple times each, not since 2011 before AM and Mizzou officially became members of the SEC so technically I maybe two states short.

Been to all the states and all the stadiums except A&M (thanks SW Classic), S Carolina, and Missouri, which I should remedy this year.

I've visited all but one SEC state. And yet somehow I managed to attend one of its officially scheduled home football games last year.

Haven't been to South Cackalacky yet, huh?

As someone mentioned earlier, Five Points is a cool little district of bars in Columbia. Weird set up for the campus though. You can't tell where the campus starts and the city begins and the stadium is a little far away from everything unlike Death Valley being in the middle of campus.

Yeah, if Five Points could talk..I can imagine the stories it would tell would be very entertaining. Everybody that went to Carolina has their own share of Five Points stories.

Willy B kinda had to be built where it's situated for several reasons, the main one being that back then the campus was pretty much situated around the horseshoe in the heart of downtown Cola so it was impossible to build it on or near campus bc of the city and the businesses there. The campus now, however, has grown and continues to do so towards where the stadium sits.

Sorry..didn't mean to rattle off a brief history of Carolina!

Nah it's cool. I like college towns because each one has its own vibe and history.

I've not been to Mississippi, Arkansas or Louisiana. Looking to remedy that with some fall Saturdays in the coming seasons.

Never been to Mississippi (thank God) or Louisiana. Been to all the other states and through a few SEC campuses, but despite all the home games I've never been to a SEC road game.

All but Mizzou.

Born and raised in Alabama. Went to college at Auburn (Georgia, right?).

Live in Georgia now.

I have visited South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas.

I have been to Kansas City, KS. So I will count that as close enough to Mizzou.
