Chizik was literally the third straight coach at AU to have an undefeated season only for the fanbase to turn on him

Not that it would ever happen, but try letting Saban lose 6 consecutive games to AU, LSU, and UT over a two year period by 230 points while losing 10 straight SEC games and see what happens. I don't give a shite if he has 3 national titles with bama, he would be gone.

Auburn, without question. They have turned on every successful HC they've ever had. Tubs went undefeated, bye , Cheezdik went undefeated, bye , and now Gus is under the gun.

Tech and Mike Leach also comes to mind.

I don't think either turned that quickly. They both believed, but their coach failed to show the goods they promised to deliver this season. Perfectly good reason to turn on them if you ask me. Neither had built up enough goodwill with multiple seasons of great play to justify fan toleration to what they are doing this season.

Chizik's actually not that bad of a coach. It's just the Auburn effect.

Iowa State would beg to differ (3-19).

You're exaggerating, it's 5-19. I have those numbers memorized.

Iowa state is a pretty hard place to win at. They are almost as bad as Kansas

Almost every AU coach goes undefeated. Last 6 AU coaches:

1. Chizik - undefeated
2. Tubs - Undefeated
3. Bowden - Undefeated
4. Dye - no undefeated seasons, but 3 1 loss regular seasons, 4 SEC titles, etc (natty in 1983 also)
5. Barfield - sucked
6. Shug - Undefeated season

When Chiz got let go its because the program was in absolute free fall and the players quit on him. I dont care what your record is, if you lose the ability to lead, you're done. Auburn saw that and Chizik got paid out.

Bammer every time Saban loses a game.

Go read tidefans.com and it is comical.

After declaring him the next Jesus in the preseason many Tennesee fans are tired of Butch, they even made a rumor that he punched a player to get him fired

No one ever declared him Jesus. Some idiot on a message board did make a rumour though. Big surprise there.

Tech was more University officials than the fanbase. His bosses wanted him out for a while.
