I know it was State, but you had to have fun watching an SEC team lay the whooping to "Mighty" Michigan.
Eh. Not really. Jacksonville is a shite hole.

The ex was a huge bama fan... Took her to see Bama vs Southern Miss on her bday... We sat on the goal line of Prothro's amazing catch, stadium was dead until that catch...

well the SEC shouldn't push for the rose bowl. that isn't going to happen

As much as it sucks for a fan of an SEC team on the west coast.
AND IT SUCKS BAD....

and I went to about 40 bama games- as an Auburn fan. glad they weren't doing much during those days

Arkansas vs auburn in Fayetteville I believe in 09 but I'm not 100%. Halftime show was a pianist. I remember an Arkansas corner smoking a screen pass and when he got up his face mask took the WR helmet off. Also the last time I had a mimosa, for different reasons...

Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee have already been there

before the rose bowl had the tie in for the both the pac and big 10. it used to just be a school from the old PCC and a team from the eastern united states

They were just on the verge of inviting an SEC team a couple years ago but you would not know about that because you were still in Big 12. The only thing that stopped them was they did not think an SEC team would travel well

Tennessee vs Arkansas 1997. Tennessee won 30-22 at War Memorial.
One of my buddies from Mizzou took a job in Little Rock after graduation. Good game, great crowd. Got to see Peyton play so definitely worth it. Never thought I'd be calling the pigs home, but there I was.

Let's hang out sometime and talk about how it sucks being out here and being fans of SEC teams.
I probably have it easier than you here in Vegas since everyone bets and the SEC gets some coverage. I couldn't imagine being in Northern California.
ETA: Let's start a group lobbying for a west coast SEC game. I'd prefer San Diego or Vegas, but we can work that out later.

Well, once this whole thing develops like it should I hope you keep that little ditty in your vault of secrets.

Probably a little late now. Next time I am in Vegas I will by you copious amounts of alcohol to buy your silence.

well I did grow up in Pasadena so...
they very much like to keep the game in the big ten and pac conferences. even in years that a team from the conference is playing in the national title, they like to just go down on the next available team if possible. now 2010 was a different story, but I was just talking as a generality

Even though we have the plus one, there will be other years where the 2010 scenario still happen. It is not out of the realm of possibility that it could happen in the future especially when the next choice sucks as bad as it did in 2010.

I've seen Ole Miss play at Memphis, and Bama at Tulane.
The Ole Miss/Memphis game could challenge 3-2 as worst game ever. Ole Miss won 3-0, and both teams had over 3 turnovers.

Grew up near Oxford, seen a lot of games there. Been to an Egg Bowl in Starkville. Went to Bama so saw a lot of games there, too. Also been to almost every Liberty Bowl for the past 10-15 years.

Booze buys a lot of silence.

Haha, I remember that one. Cutcliffe's first year. Ole Miss was expected to have such an explosive offense with Romaro Miller and Deuce McCallister and then opened up with that abomination. They ended up being decent though, going 8-4. Smoked that terrible LSU team 42-23 and beat Oklahoma in the Indy bowl.
