During the SEC's domination of football from 2003-2013, there were proven head coaches across the conference. With the departure of winning head coaches like Meyer, Miles, Richt, Fulmer, Spurrier, Petrino, and Tubberville a void was left that many schools tried to fill by grabbing guys from Saban's coaching tree, especially the East. None of these coaches have been able to hold a candle to their predecessors and the conference is quickly falling behind the Big 10 and ACC. The Pac12 won't be to far behind. Way to go Sabanites for killing the SEC.

So your way of saying Saban sucks without actually saying it because you'd sound ridiculous?

Yes, it's Saban's fault for putting a gun to the ADs heads to force them to hire his assistants.

No, he is so good he makes crappy coaches look like the next big thing and then they flounder without him to tell them what to do.

As evidenced by this post, during the SEC's domination, moral victories were a lot better too. This one just sucks.

Interesting point. Coaching is suspect more than in years past.

From that list, Petrino's gone because of an off the field incident, Urbz quit before it got bad, and everyone else got fired for not doing enough on the field, or quit because of the same reason.

Saban tricked East teams into hiring shitty former assistant coaches.

LSU did it on their own, though.

Are gone largely because of Saban.

Richt

Is gone because Georgia wanted 11 wins per year instead of 10. So, pretty much Saban.

Petrino

Gone because he's a dumbass. But he never came close to Saban, so I'm not sure how long Arky would have put up with that.

Spurrier,

Just got too old to compete anymore. It happens to everyone.

Actually, McElwain has won the East in both of his two seasons. Not bad.

I'm not being funny when I say he really has. It's actually boring now. I didn't even watch the Iron Bowl yesterday -- the first time in probably 20 years.
