Has the sale of alcohol caused more of the reckless storming of the field?

Since the sale of alcohol in the stadiums has begun we've seen more reckless behavior. Ut storming the field was understandable but lsu and clemson?? Had to been because of the alcohol sales right?

Maybe at other schools. LSU fans have always snuck in enough contraband to get several fanbases drunk. And they aren’t sneaking in beer.

No. Years of butt kickings is the cause.

Clemson does it every game. ACC doesn’t fine teams.

No, I dont think so. A beer at a game is like $12 bucks. Most fans are broke after 2 beers.

Clemson has always let fans on the field after the game. To the best of my knowledge no opponents players has struck a fan.

No. This has been going on for decades. Mizzou students stormed Faurot Field, tore down the goal posts and marched them through the streets to a bar after beating Notre Dame 3-0 in 1978

...AND IT WAS AN AWAY GAME

Has obviously made the fans much scarier to players as well.

I think rushing the field had a lot to do with seeing it was the cool thing to do as social media was full of videos of Tennessee students having a blast doing it. See also: Because we are stupid.

And other than tearing up a grass field (and that is a damn good reason), is there really any good reason NOT to do it?

What if the SEC just embraced this. I know i think its dumb but if it kept these adhd college kids in their seats the entire game i may be for it. The gameday experience has to get better with the advancements made in television. If there were procedures in place to keep players and staff from the crowd it may be a step towards improving attendance.

Let it involve Bama to ruin things for everyone. Let them beat Bama if they make the playoffs and Burton go attacking students for them to stop it.

Just to piggy back off of this. Think of a post bama/Tennessee win and the team is lighting cigars with the fans on the field. Staff handing out cigars and the entire field enjoying a post win cigar. Thats SEC

The only thing alcohol sales did was let lazy people spend a lot of money that goes back into the program while curtailing even more outrageousness

People were taking in bottles of liquor into every game I was ever at that didn't sell alcohol

Haven't seen that as much really since they started selling 8 buck cans of coors light
