I dunno, you could be right.

I was taught how to do this in the first or second grade and no one's corrected me until you did just now

I can't imagine that Miles was thrilled with the Chavis comments.
But maybe they'll spur him to make some improvements on the offensive side of the ball?
Sitting around an echo chamber, patting each other on the back, isn't the most effective impetus for change.

That said, Miles =/= LSU any more than Saban = Alabama, Manziel = A&M, etc.
No one is irreplaceable.
Each SEC team is much bigger than any individual.

thought about this too but he's already made a somewhat recent change with cameron. do y'all think its too early for a change at OC?

Can they make a major improvement without a change in philosophy? Is it even needed?

So you're taking a direct quote and calling her a liar, over something a reporter said who's been proven wrong several times since yesterday?

I don't necessarily agree that they (Miles) can't/won't change their/his philosophy.
I think we're seeing that very reality play out with Saban (I.e., HUNH).
LSU will be fine.
If we were talking about a school like Baylor (or the like), that'd be a different conversation.

Best LSU can hope for on offense is what we saw in 2013. Miles doesn't care about scoring a lot of points, he just wants to keep the other guys from scoring a lot of points. That will never change.

CLM never changing is going to be his downfall. Hopefully he has started to think outside the box

Yea because a sputtering offense has worked out so bad for LSU defensive players in the past.

Not a player in college that doesn't want to be on the field all the time, except for some running backs (which is reasonable).

I thought about that too, they'll still get in the NFL, but seems like they could go to a program with an offense that has a pulse and go to the NFL too. I assume competitors still want to win and not just perform.

Miles may have a hard time getting a good DC at LSU now

you wish. while it's almost always a hard time getting a good coordinator, OC or DC, timing is everything. we'll see.

And it will, hence the premise of this thread. So you don't think Chavis leaving will have any negative impact on Les?

He did somehow manage to win football games before ever hiring John Chavis so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Chavis knows where the NFL shops for ballers..

Even if he took a paycheck to wet-nurse soft Teasip state 7-on-7ers until Sumlin's fired or the NFL calls(whichever comes first)
