Could be another classic SECCG, if UGA keeps it up.
What? Classic as in another UA - UF matchup?

But it's a long season. A little too early to make the kind of value judgment the OP is suggesting, nor the opposite.
shhh
let's just allow it to happen

That said, UGa has similar scheduling luck in their favor this season. As underwhelming as AU has been thus far, we may well be the toughest team they play all year. And I'd be inclined to think they would beat us pretty handily.
It'll be you guys or us.
If I can toot ND's horn here for a minute, I think we're actually pretty damn good this year, and beating ND in South Bend is going to be a very good win for UGA at the end of the year (to be honest, somewhat to my surprise). We're still sitting 22nd and 26th in the polls, but we're top 15 in the advanced stuff, and I think we'll continue to climb. Our defense is night and day better than last year's, and I was no fan of Kelly's coming into this year. Mike Elko should probably be on the short list of any athletic director at a lower-tier P5 program.
Our schedule is suddenly opening up a bit as well. USC suddenly looks very mortal, and we get them in South Bend. Stanford doesn't look formidable, either. Miami is still an unknown, and we definitely have some potential trip up games (@ UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, fricking Navy), but the eye ball test and the computers are telling me that this team is pretty damn good. We have smashed everyone else we've played besides UGA.
All the credit goes to them, and especially their front seven, because we have run over, around, and through every other defense so far this year. They could use some work in the passing game from what I saw in South Bend - a true freshman is going to miss some reads and throw a few errant balls, and the receivers looked like they could use some work as well - but other than that, they are about as complete of a team there is in college ball right now.
ETA: I thoroughly disagree with those saying that UGA would have obliterated ND in 2012. Alabama during that era did the same thing to a number of teams given sufficient preparation time (LSU the year before, as an example), and UGA's record that year was similar to ND's - we had very good wins at Oklahoma and against Stanford; they had a very good win against Florida. We got blasted against Alabama in the title game, and they got blasted at South Carolina (and had some close games against mediocre teams, something we had as well).

I would love Georgia to beat Bama in the SEC championship. Of course Nicky will still get a playoff birth.

Always?
I mean the history books have one team not only winning the more recent national title but having far more of them total
It would appear your Dawgs are second fiddle my friend
I've seen some really, really fricked up logic up in here over the years, but you just took the cake. Did you matriculate at Alabama or masturbate at Alabama A&M?

Well, if bama does lose either the west or sec championship, can we get the ohio state deal and go to the playoffs anyway?
Would take a lot of the stress out of the season.

I think UGA is pretty good.
