We are executing the blocking scheme better. We are starting fournette now.

On defense, our brightest young stars aren't on the bench anymore.

It is worth noting that LSU made a major personnel change after the Auburn game. They benched DJ Welter and started Kendel Beckwith at MLB.

Especially after losing all that talent. Now they are coming together, playing better. Best to get them at the beginning of the year than the end.

No difference than auburn last year after Lsu blew them out and they went on a winning streak. Auburn doesn't want to play Lsu again I promise.

I've never seen an LSU team improve as much as this one has on both sides of the ball over the course of a season. My grandfather who is one of the most negative LSU fans I know said the same thing and he's been watching LSU football for over 50 years. You can just see it. Especially LF, the o-line and linebackers.

This team isn't close to the floundering team that State and Auburn blew off the field and I fricking love it. We will win Saturday.

I think the fans and press forcing the QB change hurt LSU in that game.

No, not at all. The fix was in against New Mexico.

It did, but I think it ultimately helped us this season.

Neither Jennings nor Harris had a lot of experience; Jennings had more. However, everyone "knows" Harris has the more explosive talent.

So Jennings was in a bad spot- he's the only guy with enough knowledge and composure to lead the team, but he was always looking over his shoulder, waiting for Harris to take his spot when he messed up. That ended up causing him to choke up, and we got the Miss St and NMSU disaster from Jennings.

Once he saw that Harris didn't have a prayer against Auburn, I think Jennings calmed down. Everyone, himself included, realized that this season was his (or nobody's), and he's beginning to relax.

LSU's coaches have handled this well. I thought Jennings might be done for the year after NMSU, and instead he's rebounded. And I think Harris is fine with that too, he got his shot this season and knows he has a lot of work to do to get another chance. I expect him to be way improved next season, but I also think Jennings will be too.

NO, only Auburn and Alabama can improve because when y'all shite it does not stink. LSU cannot possibly improve because they are not Auburn or Alabama!!!!

Starting Beckwith over Welter has helped.

Our OL has finally gelled.

If we had those things against AU, the game wouldn't have been that lopsided.

I don't think fans from other team realize how big of change this was. Every big run we gave up to start the year Welter was playing MLB, now our defense is stoning the run with Beckwith. We lose the Ole Miss game with Welter in there.

Our O-line is blocking a lot better now and LF is getting 20 carries a game. He needed this bye week though.
