This is silly.
Auburn is suffering from the exact same problem LSU has off-and-on for the past eight years - poor quarterback evaluation, recruitment and development.
It would be interesting to go back in time and have Brandon Harris choose Auburn over LSU and see how his development played out. In retrospect, it appears he probably should have accepted Auburn's offer as he seems like a far better fit for their offensive scheme than he is within ours.
Would also be interesting to see a guy like Jeremy Johnson at LSU instead of Auburn.
If trades were allowed in college football, this is one I'd consider straight-up if I were the player personnel guy at either school.

I've been saying that a couple of years. I really wanted Harris and was a little confused when he chose LSU considering the scheme. I was equally confused with the signing of White and JJ to a lesser degree.

I hope Gus was not told "not to cheat". Look at history. Straight Arrow Genero lead the 'Dillos to what?, one win and a tie? I like Auburn winning 6 games a year. He better be cheating.

Hey Duncan, I applied for posting privileges on the Auburn board. Who reviews these applications?
As evidenced by my posting history, I don't troll, like to talk football and find the main board here a difficult environment for any serious discussion.
Any advice on who I need to see in order to gain access?
Thanks!

Auburn has plenty of talent. Gus is a friggin fraud, a Playstation cowboy whose could probably beat your butt runs schemes on NCAA Football on the Playstation, but in real life he does not know how to develop talent. Cam came in with development from his stint in Florida. He could run all the trick plays, but when there was no one there he could make the magic happen with his legs. Gus is nothing without a stellar QB and he can bring in a dozen assistants but until he learns how either work with what he has, or develop the talent that is there, he is never gonna be anything but a gimmick HS coach IMO.

The huge controversy surrounding Cam Newton and his father was settled and no evidence was found to convict Auburn, but most people feel like there was some deception in the recruiting process of Newton. The year with Marshall was one of the luckiest seasons in the history of NCAA. Auburn has been good periodically throughout history, but what we are seeing here is something that's even bad for Auburn. I think they are recovering from years of cheating and it's taking a while to get all of it out of the program and learning how to win without it.
And most people feel like Hitler was a meanie.
