vs Clemson:
Auburn gained 262 yards (Average allowed 318)
Scored 13 points (Average Allowed 18)
Gave up 399 yards (Average Gained 453)
Gave up 19 pts (Average scored 34)

vs A&M
Gained 399 yds (Avg Allowed 484)
Scored 16 pts (Avg Allowed 23)
Gave up 478 yds (Avg Gained 505)
Gave up 29 pts (Avg scored 34)

vs LSU
Gained 388 yds (Avg Allowed 315)
Scored 18 (Avg allowed 15)
Gave up 338 yds (Avg gained 405)
Gave up 14 pts (Avg scored 23)

vs MSU
Gained 432 yards (Avg allowed 361)
Scored 38 pts (Avg allowed 26)
Gave up 289 yards (Avg Gained 401)
Gave up 14 pts (Avg scored 24 pts)

Total
Gained 1481 yards (Avg Allowed 1478)
Scored 85 pts (Avg Allowed 82)
Gave up 1504 yds (Avg gained 1764)
Gave up 76 pts (Avg scored 115)

So looking at this, the offense is almost exactly on par with the averages of these teams while the defense is holding teams to 65 yards below their usual average and 9.75 points below their average.

Apparently you can't play the vaunted offense of the Sun Belt either.

True. ASU was missing 13 starters due to the flu.

I'm not even gonna say how untrue that is. Nope.

So you hold average to bad offenses to average numbers.

Of course, because everyone rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night is fully recovered and ready to play a football game 3 days later.

Stop making excuses for Arkansas State's excuses on why Auburn won.
