Pete Finebaum sat in for his brother, while Paul had surgery to remove Saban's dick from his mouth. Paul wants to replace it with Dabo's. Jim got it right.

When Harbaugh loses 3 games and wins nothing of significance in his first 3 seasons, will you guys start asking him when he's going to stop being a drama queen and starting winning something?

LSU fired a coach for that. Maybe Michigan has lower standards.

Finebaum was merciless on Perkins during the first losing season Bama had in 25 years. He did a weekly show that came on right before Perkins' weekly coaches show. So, finebaum would spend an hour trashing Perkins and then Perkins would come on and try and spin it the other way. Plus, Finebaum callers would "sneak" on air during the coaches show lol. Basically, the university told the station that either they fired Finebaum or they lose the UA sports contact. Easy decision on the stations part.

He was an assassin during the Shula era as well. From the moment Shula got on campus he was relentless in his (correct) claim that Shula was a fraud and was in over his head.

His show the week after the Juwan Simpson "I guess I'd give me an ice cream cone" was fires of hades level.

Yes he was. The Juwan Simpson stuff was brutal. I always laugh when people talk about him being a Bama shill. He may be now, but he sure hasn't always been.

Well, LSU doesn't exactly set the standards if college football these days.

Here's a comparison with the only standard that matters:

Saban took over team that went 22-15 over the previous three years. Saban's first two years, Bama went 7-6 and 12-2, and 1-1 in bowl games.

Harbaugh took over a team that went 20-18 over the previous three years. In his first two years, Michigan went 10-3 and 10-3, and 1-1 in bowl games.

Harbaugh's doing just fine.

In that 2nd year they were 12-0 and ranked #1 after the regular season, losing to the eventual national champion in the SEC Championship game. The 3rd year they went 13-0 and won the national championship. Do you expect Jim to do the same?

Harbaugh's 2nd team has the most players of all schools at the NFL combine (as did his 1st team as all of those players were on the roster). He may have taken over a team that didn't win, but it was clearly stocked with a solid roster.

Again, unless he radically beats expectations of finishing 3rd in his division in 2017, he will have gone 3 seasons without even winning a division, led alone the B1G, go to a playoff or win a National Title.

For all the loud mouth asshattery that's a pretty meh accomplishment.

Wheres saban super bowl appearance or even a division champ?

Harbaughs accomplishments are not fake.

Hes done pretty well at Stanford, San Francisco and the beginnings of Michigan. Youre crazy for just picking his accomplishments and saying "meh"

He's pretty good

Again, if I was hiring a coach to take over the Falcons, sign me up with Harbaugh. We're not talking about that.

Yes he is. He's very good. He's just not accomplished enough collegiately that he should automatically be lumped in with Saban and Meyer like he consistently is.

Like I said, he's on the verge of having 3 full seasons at Michigaqn with little to nothing to show for it.

By year 3 at their current schools :
- Saban had won 1 national title, 1 SEC title, 2 SEC West titles and had 2 undefeated regular seasons

- Urban Meyer had won 1 national title, 1 B1G Title, 2 division titles, was 24-0 in the B1G regular season, had an undefeated regular season and would have probably had another conference (and maybe national title) in 2012 if not for sanctions

- Michigan will have 0 national titles, 0 B1G titles, 0 division titles, a Citrus Bowl win and an Orange Bowl loss

Of course, they could reload next year and take out Ohio State and Penn State, who knows. But considering what they lost and what those 2 have coming back, the odds of that seem extremely far fetched.

Harbaugh is very good. However, I'd like to see him win something collegiately before we all anoint him one of the 3 best coaches in America.
