He did interview and got a quick "no." I won't hold Atlanta against Petrino, but you certainly should hold the Auburn flight against him.

Yes, buts its also Apples and Oranges, plus Saban was interviewed by different people. Saban was hired by Chan Mark Emmert. For over a decade, AD Joe Dean had been running a cut rate football program. Emmert knew we were leaving money on the table even though the program was in the black. Saban came in and told them basically that, and laid out what needed to be done to get the program to where it needed to be. He wowed them in the interview, but was a raging dick head to the people he worked with. However, the people that hired him were gone. After dealing with Saban, Skip and others in the AD did not want another raging dick head and Petrino did not interview well.

Hey, just give us some time guys. We're doing our best to get Petrino to start eating grass and acting batshit crazy more often. Les Miles sets the standard on how SEC head coaches should conduct themselves.
