quote:
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Alabama reserve senior safety Nick Perry won't play Saturday against Ole Miss and will likely require surgery on his injured shoulder, coach Nick Saban said Wednesday.
Perry injured his shoulder during practice last week and missed Alabama's game against Colorado State. During the viewing periods of practice this week, Perry was seen standing off to the side in a black, non-contact jersey.
In two games this season, Perry, who primarily played on special teams and as a reserve at safety and "Money" defensive back positions, had one pass deflection.
The Prattville product was a key cog in Alabama's secondary last season, as he played in all 13 games, started four and accumulated 37 tackles.
Perry was the only player anticipated to miss Saturday's game. A number of other players who sat out the Colorado State game, including star wide receiver Amari Cooper and starting cornerback Deion Belue, have been practicing.

Fixed it, Thanks!
And fyi, that's not how I would want to see it go down. Win is a win, and Bama won.

shoulder surgery is a pain. Had one 18 months ago and need one on the other side. 52 year old farts don't bounce back like FB studs

He was at practice tonight in the Safety rotation.
He's likely in the doghouse for violating one of Saban's rules...missing a class, missing or late to team meeting/workout.
When people say Saban runs a tight ship, he really does. There are a lot of rules. I mean, you better make weight when you show up to camp. Yeah, you can be in his doghouse for that.
