Not going into to much detail about who he was but someone who's been in it for awhile. Interesting tid-bits from the conversation. Spent over an hour talking with him and it was really fun. So here is some things he said or mentioned when I asked questions.

1. Alabama doesn't cheat anymore(they did the first few years). Despite what people believe, they don't need to. Bama hasn't paid a player in years. Clemson does not either. They have enough proof of success that there is no need to offer money anymore and take a risk of being caught.

2. Not many teams actually pay. Most AD's are terrified of being caught and are very strict. So despite the claims "everyone pays", they don't according to him. Said it was really bad from 08-13 but has settled down greatly.

3. Two teams in the SEC are well known to be offering "benefits." One is obvious, one is somewhat obvious based on how he recruited at his other school. I'll let you guess which two they are. Title droughts are a good hint.

4. Said LSU is clean. I asked directly and he said Ed isn't that kind of guy. Auburn as far as he knows has been as well.

5. They suspect one team in the SEC has started too give extra "benefits", but no one has directly told them(players looking for counter offers). Newer coach, from the same system as another "benefit giving" head coach. Thinks it may be short term if it is happening to just get a more stable roster with talent that has been lacking at the program.

6. I asked if Florida could beat Georgia, CLemson, Bama with current talent level. Said the first yes, they believe they have an edge coaching wise but injuries would worry him greatly because their depth is better. I asked about the other two and he pretty much point blank said very little chance. Said their coaching is top notch, and they out talent everyone. You have to play perfect to beat them and everyone in CFB knows it. Coach speak they won't say it but not a person in CFB goes into a game with either confident.

Also: I mentioned the Rant and he immediately laughed. Yes, we are well known. Especially by the players. Asked if there are fake accounts from players and he didn't know.

Was pretty fun. I'm sure this gets 100 down votes because no proof, didn't happen. Couldn't not share it though either way, so take from it what you want, was really interesting stuff.

I think most people suspect that.

I have been on here for years claiming Bama cheats...so not like I have a reason to make that part up. I was generally surprised by it.

I believe all the schools are cheating in the sense small time boosters help people out with jobs for parents, petty cash, various other hook ups that are hard to trace.

I do think the “head coach wants player x and is willing to ask/imply to a booster he should pay 5-6 figures to get him” type cheating is relatively uncommon.

I'm not sure I disagree with any of it, but I think "everyone pays" refers to the fact that every school has boosters who don't need contact from coaches or ADs to entice recruits.

Similar to how people in power don't need to ask underlings directly to do their dirty work ("will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest"), SEC coaches/departments don't need to get involved in payment schemes.

Ive said before the days of giving players cars is over. Too much at risk and too easy to get caught now with social media. Ole Miss is the textbook case why you cant do it anymore. The risk isnt worth it

Are you the guy who said he was in the room when Kirby talked to Justin Fields?

It was a Gator. Can't remember who it was.

Let's see. You talked to a connected person, but you can't say who it was. So, we have no way of knowing if he knows what he is talking about.

Can you give us a hint? Does he wear tennis shoes with suits?

What you need to do is take a picture of the parking lot at each school where the football players park (basketball players for Kentucky). If it is full of Dodge Chargers and big SUV's then they are cheating.

Ed was willing to go along with his asst coach telling a transparent lie about being punched, so it seems hard to believe that he's not the kinda guy who would cheat. Combine a) the fact that LSU staff is comprised of known liars with b) the fact that they are recruiting lights out right now, mostly from out of state, and c) the fact that LSU has done everything in its power to protect a basketball coach who is on tape offering money for a recruit, then it seems really hard to believe that their football team doesn't cheat.
