Yeah the whole state hates Les Miles plus apparently every OU fan in LSU got mugged or everything but a mugging by any and every LSU fan they came into contact. 8 years later I still hear these ludicrous stories allllllll the time.

Realizing you are likely just playing to your audience with this unprovoked and unjustified attack, on exactly what authority is the comment above made? How many times have you interacted with our fan base pregame? Many of the LSU faithful, myself included, admire the body of work of the Cowboys, and hoped that they would get a shot, even if we felt the result would be no different than games we've played against other conference and division champs. Everyone I talked with was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news death in the Oklahoma State athletic department and later of severe injuries resulting from the Cowboy fan base storming the field to celebrate a championship. Like all passionate fan bases, LSU has it's share of drunks and trouble makers. To say otherwise would be untrue. However, we are also well known for tailgating, feeding our opposing fans some of the most amazing and creative food around, cheering very loud for our team and band, even when outnumbered on the road, and showing the visiting fans good humor and good fun. If you don't like New Orleans, I can't help you. The NFL, after having numerous Super Bowls there, sure appreciates it enough.

I have concluded that you are:
A) so butthurt over the BCS result that you are projecting your disappointment on the LSU and the SEC
B) pandering to the mouth that feeds you
C) a sports hack practicing your craft of irresponsible "journalism"

Which is it?

In the current system, when any non SEC team takes care of its business appropriately and beats the teams they should, they will take this " out of the hands of voters" and get a well deserved shot at a title. But until then, based upon the body of work in recent BCS title games, the voters will continue to give the SEC that extra benefit of any doubt. I think this year a 1 versus 4 and 2 versus 3 playoff would have been great to watch and great for college football.

Your fan base was awful during the Sugar Bowl eight years ago. You made the week in New Orleans insufferable. I'm not talking at the game, necessarily. Or even outside the stadium. Just walking the streets the days before the game. It was awful.
Stand on the tallest mountain and proclaim how great your fan base is, and no one will care.
The LSU fans proved what they are that week. The worst in college football.
The real bummer is that I like Les so much and Saban so little. Sure wish they could switch jobs.
