So, you think it's impossible to hire a good coach who is a sleaze? Wasn't Petrino an example of that?
Que?

you really think gus will hang around that long?
Yes. He negotiated his own extension as soon as his name was linked to the Texas job. He has been recruiting for Bruce Pearl. He does everything possible to push the Auburn University name as a whole. It is obvious he loves Auburn. He also knows it is much easier to recruit to Auburn than it is to Arky.

Well yeah...if ever went to Arky his recruiting would not worry anyone.
Nobody is worried aobut his recruiting at Auburn.

Yep, Gus wants Bellyman to stay at Arkansas just like Tubs wanted Shula to stay at UAT.

i have no idea what that's supposed to mean? i meant it as in he'll never coach here so it's not something to worry my pretty little head about.

You better hope Bret is successful. If we fire him we may decide to offer Gus his dream job.
It can happen, but it would have to be a substantial amount of money for him to consider, even then the chances are slim.
Gus is hurt about being passed over twice for the Arkansas opening.

So where do you think he will go? Auburn spends as much on recruiting as any school in the nation. Auburn's asst.'s are always some of the highest paid in the nation. Auburn's facilities are as good as any school in the nation. Auburn plays in the SEC, which is the dominant conference in the nation. The State borders Ga. and Fl.. Two hotbeds for recruiting in the south. Again, where do you think he would go?

I mean, who would want to work for an incompetent AD?

I fixed your three grammatical errors for you.

His O wouldn't work in the NFL, IMO. NFL rosters are not large enough to sub in and out, on both sides of the ball, as much as Gus likes to do.

Around $3.5 with incentives, IIRC.
IIRC, base goes up like $200K every year.
