Why in the world would I be miserable?

The days of 6 in a row in the Iron Bowls are over. Bama and Auburn are powerful forces.

But, to deny that it's not more important to Auburn to beat Bama than UGA or whatever is just crazy.

Beaver, You're a smart football guy, I usually enjoy your non flame threads, but you know the Iron Bowl is the biggest deal. Always has and always will.

Look at Dye, Bowden, Tommy T and Gene.

Outside of the Bowden Lowder drama, they were let go not based on them losing to an LSU, it was all about the state championship.

It means just as much to Bama too.

Tubbs resigned. His son is at Auburn, at Aday tubs was wearing an Auburn Hat.

Chiz was fired, should have been. Same goes for Bowden.

I'm not here to be an arse, but if you don't believe the Iron Bowl isn't the MOST important game for BOTH schools, then you must be an out of state graduate. I may see one Tennessee fan on the interstate, and that's it. I live with Auburn. Auburn lives with Alabama. Any AU fan that says UGA is their biggest rival is full of shite. Just as any Tide fans says Tennessee is our biggest.

Tubbs was saved by beating Alabama. Tubbs went on to drum the Tide for half a decade. He lost one game and "resigned"... You believe he wanted to quit?? If Gene pulled a stunner in 2012 and beat Bama, he would still be the Auburn coach.

Hell, if Shula would have beat AU in 2006, Saban may be the coach at Auburn right now.

That's my point, a coach at either school has to be competitive in the Iron Bowl. Or it's their arse out the door.

Can we all agree about that?

Tubs was a great single game coach, losing to your rival will hurt any coach. Responding more to the OP
