I think Malzahn is kind of a offensive wiz. Although ultimately as a Vandy fan I am more than happy with our coach, initially I was bummed that he turned us down. In retrospect I don't think he would have been a cultural fit at Vandy and Franklin was by far the right guy for us but Gus will be successful for a long time in my opinion.

To be fair, Gene Chizik could have coached the 2001 Miami Canes to an 8-3 record

If Chizik had just stuck with the spread like his players were recruited for they would've done a lot better. That record is a bit misleading

How are things over at Hogville?
Let me approach this from a slightly different angle. In the short time that Gus Malzahn has been at Auburn he has beaten a Nick Saban coached Alabama team twice, won 2 SEC championships and is preparing to play in his second national championship game and that's only part of it. In the last 20+ years that Pig U has been in the SEC what have they accomplished that is comparable? In fact, what has P U accomplished at all..... other than talking shite and believing that you're just like Alabama, the only exception being that Arkansas really, really sucks. I know, I know, Bulimia is just like Saban and he's really going to beat the hell out of Auburn, the high-school coach and all that shite, well, next year.
The real question should be, can Arkansas ever compete in this conference. After more than 20 years I really don't see it and hurling insults at Auburn, or Gus, or anything else does not change the fact that Arkansas cannot compete at this level.
