Gus' style O can't have a good D. Where is that crowd?

Points Per Game Leaders

3 Auburn 14.1 PPG

7 Alabama 14.9 PPG

8 LSU 15.0 PPG

People let their bias overrule their logic here. The fact is, Auburn's TOP is usually balanced. They let the HUNH tag cloud their judgement.

This defense is scary good.

Considering they were put in horrible scenarios against Clemson and A&M due to completely inept coordination on offense, I'd say they're even better than their current stats say.

Arky dominated the TOP, especially in the first quarter.

Over with the same people crying about the HUNH Offense and player safety.

Yes they did. TOP has always been a very misleading stat, IMO.

You responded to a post that said "usually". Do people not even read what they quote?

While I didn't see them last night I haven't seen the barn trying to run plays at breakneck speed this year.

That helps your defense a lot. Your defensive line is legit, hard to say right now whether yours or L5U's is the 2nd best unit in the SEC right now.

Did he or did he not slow it down?

not really. When we had Nick running the show, he sped it up because it was a running O. He wanted to catch D's before they were set. The time it takes to snap the ball is no different now than it was under Cam.

Not really. The HU was always situational.

To be honest, we are still running more of a hurry up huddle than a hurry up offense.

We could not do hurry up much last night. Our running back was very tired after each play.

The team is averaging 80 plays a game.

Good God man, quit being so defensive. It was a dig at Arky letting us score so quickly. It wasn't that subtle.

It was really impressive for the AU defense to hold Arkansas to 3 points, given that they had to be on the field for so much of the game due to the offense scoring at will.

He did not. In fact, he has never gone nearly as fast as his reputation. He will do it at times, but it has always been determined by game situation.

Doesn't mean they are going fast.

Well, Auburn was able to rest their starters in the third quarter. . . .
