I don't know if I agree.....but if you guys stack the box and make it tough, Mason will definitely have to show he can throw the ball to back you up a bit. We'll see tomorrow night. I'm really excited about the game. I'm hoping for an exciting close game. I DO NOT want a controversial call to change the course of the game whether for or against us.

I don't think it's the product of CAP being better, though he is very good, it's the product of him getting a bigger share of workload.

I don't really think reasonable fans from either side think they're going to stop the other's running attack at this point.

I'm not rustled enough to go into a dick measuring contest, but if you are and want to post Les' record against UGA go ahead. Pretty sure we lead the all time serious, by 1 or 2 games granted but I'll take it

Not rustled at all...but I was interested so I peeked. LSU leads 16-13-1 with the first game in 1948.

As for Rciht verse Miles...Richt leads 3-1, if I counted correctly. It's actually a shame we don't play more often. I was born in baton Rouge and grew up a LSU fan. Even had a gold sweater with purple LSU letters on it when I was 4 years old. Went back to baton Rouge as an adult with my job for 3 1/2 years. It's always a fun game to watch. My brother is a huge LSU fan still, so it's always fun from that perspective, too.

Wasn't UGA's defense supposed to be the catalyst to a natty run this year? How is that going?

Crap no! Who told you that? Most of us figured we would lose 2-3 games and our defense would be another year or two away. We think Pruitt has us on the right track, but we KNEW this would not be the year. We started to get hope when we beat Clemson....but we knew the offense would have to carry us this year and probably next year.

I agree. Gurley has been practicing with the team so he won't be out of shape too much...but there is a big difference is practicing and taking game time hits. I think Chubb will share a decent portion of the load.

Correct. One of your other Auburn posters said it best earlier in this thread. Our defense has given up a TON of rushing yards in the last two games. I really thought our run defense was pretty good. Auburn and Georgia seems to match up pretty well. Tomorrow night could turn into a track meet. Both teams may need oxygen bottles on the sidelines for the running backs!

That said, I won't be shocked if it is a lower scoring affair, whether a derp fest or by virtue of defenses coming to play. I just really have no sense of what to expect.

No, no, our defense was never thought to be the catalyst for a natty run this year. We were largely picked to finish 2nd in the East and lower by some primarily due to our D being a giant question mark.

How many times has everybody expected high scoring games only to see a 14-10 score...or expect to see a low scoring game and it goes 38-36?

I'm with you. I'll be sitting in front of my TV tomorrow night sweating and worrying all day, then feel my stomach tighten up when the game starts.

We stop the run all the time, by making it much easier to pass on us.
