Everyone?

He may have exaggerated a bit I'm sure, but yes most teams that play Gurley think they know just what it'll take to slow him down, yet few have.

Here's what our opponents rushing D ranks are this season and what gurley did against them. Keep in mind this is overall team ypg given up, not just to an individual:

Clemson- 91 ypg
TG- 15 for 198 (13.3) and 3 TDs.

SC- 223 ypg (damn sc)
TG- 20 for 131 (6.6) and 1 TD

Tenn- 172 ypg
TG- 28 for 208 (7.8) and 2 TD

Vandy- 175 ypg
TG- 25 for 163 (6.6) and 2 TD

As a sidebar, here is what our other opponents ranks are and what they gave up to nick chubb as a starter:

Mizz- 135 ypg
NC- 38 for 143 (3.8) and 1 TD

Ark- 137 ypg
NC- 30 for 202 (6.7) and 2 TD

UF- 116 ypg
NC- 21 for 156 (7.4) and 1 TD

UK- 200 ypg
NC- 13 for 170 (13.1) and 1 TD

Sooooo what does all this mean? It means that only once, in the 2nd game of the season, did we not equal or far exceed a team's ypg average for the season. It is a stone cold fact that AU hasn't seen a running back like Gurley this year. UGA has already faced 2 better run defenses than AU, and we gashed them both. Also think about how funny it is that the best any team has done against gurley is still giving up 131 yards and a TD.

Earlier ITT I predicted 170 for TG and 110 for NC and I stand by that.

Some good predictions, but

quote:

Gurley mad and back with a chip on his shoulder.

Not sure if you know what this means. Why would Gurley have a chip on his shoulder? Got caught and admitted to breaking the rules. Excited to be back, sure. But what is it exactly he's trying to prove?

that he's the best RB in america after being gone the last month?

He was the heisman frontrunner when he left, nobody has talked about him (I mean, his on the field play) since then.

Those stout SEC East defenses and Clemson never knew what they got themselves into.

Neither did LSU last year.

I predict:

55 of these at $38.95 per;

38 of these at 32.95 per...

Also, buy 3 of each and get this:

At half off for the low low price of $75.99.

Also for a limited time, if the game score is out of hand, there will be 100 of these:

available for $19.99 each. If score is close, there'll only be 20 available.

All items can be picked up immediately after the game behind the team buses. Please bring cash...

As compared to Georgia's defense giving up 650 rushing yards in their last two games and now facing an Auburn offense that has only been held below 232 yards rushing once all season

Auburn has given up 940 yards in their last two games and you want to talk smack?

Yeah, wasn't that one of the several occasions where Gurley showed the world how injury prone he is?

Yeah how did Gurley only run for 130 against us?

That if he had played every game he would be in the lead for the Heisman?

I really thought that would be obvious.

Shoulda had 184... The was the bad holding call on the 54yd td run that the SEC office apologized for to UGA the following week admitting it was a blown call...

You know...I think he DID get hurt in that game....after he ran the ball 8 times for 73 yards.

You know. Against that overmatched SEC West defense?

Our worst defense in years

Totally unlike the Honey Badger crossing the goal line in the 2011 SECCG, we really dropped the ball in that game

Yeah that's what I assumed and somewhat get the argument, but from a fan's perspective and national media, there's no way he wins the Heisman or even gets back in the discussion.

Another question: Does anyone wonder maybe subconsciously or deep down he doesn't go at full strength bc of the draft, i.e. Lattimore?

In all likelihood CAP goes for more than Gurley, so that's a more interesting question to me.

You guys have used that a few times lately, haven't you? I mean....mind explaining Florida scoring 27 this year? or Auburn 41? Mississippi State 34? THIS year?

B-b-b-but....we USED to be good! Really? You want to hang your hat on 2011?

Tell me...how's LSU done against Georgia? Do you even know? Look up what Les Miles record is against Georgia and let me know what you find. Since the West is so good, and LSU seems to think they are the class of the West, then I would think LSU has blitzed Georgia, right?

You are correct. MAYBE if he had only been gone for two games. no chance of it now, though. He still has a lot he would want to prove, though.

Are you saying that lattimore did not play hard, or are you saying so Gurley doesn't get hurt like Lattimore did? i suspect you mean Gurley might now play hard to avoid getting hurt like Lattimore, because Lattimore played hard.

Who knows? Nobody knows what might go on inside a kids head, but he honestly doesn't seem the type to dog it.

I'm not rustled enough to go into a dick measuring contest, but if you are and want to post Les' record against UGA go ahead. Pretty sure we lead the all time serious, by 1 or 2 games granted but I'll take it

I think you'd have a hard time finding anyone that would disagree that our defense has turned a corner since Beckwith got the starting job. I'd take our defense the way its playing now over last year's in a heartbeat.

Wasn't UGA's defense supposed to be the catalyst to a natty run this year? How is that going?

I don't know if I agree.....but if you guys stack the box and make it tough, Mason will definitely have to show he can throw the ball to back you up a bit. We'll see tomorrow night. I'm really excited about the game. I'm hoping for an exciting close game. I DO NOT want a controversial call to change the course of the game whether for or against us.
