Well it's obvious that "he gone".. Sources have told me that he's had closed door meetings with LSU officials and will be named the coach at Monday's 4 o'clock presser...

It's okay for you to be ashamed of tuthilltiger. This guy couldn't make it out of a Louisiana public school.

I'm ashamed of the ingratitude and short memories have of the work Saban did at LSU. He set a foundation for excellence. I will always be grateful for what he did at LSU.

I'm not happy he's at Bama, but for the eighth millionth time, I wish our fans would get this through their dense skulls: Saban DID NOT GO DIRECTLY FROM LSU TO ALABAMA!!!!!

He was with the Dolphins, then went to Bama. I'm pretty sure he did not leave LSU to go to the Dolphins, knowing the Alabama job would open up two years later.

I read the book. It is a pretty fair book to Saban.

I honestly think it's imposable to write a biography without the help of the subject and his closest friends.

The Unauthorized Biography will need some outlandish quotes and stories for publicity reasons. I wouldn't want some writer to try and describe my life without the help of myself, my closest friends and relatives.

I'm sure Saban would love for only good things about his life go into the book but I've got a feeling the writer will load it with things that may not show him in the correct light.

Saban is not a GOD to Alabama fans for those that believe that's how we see him. He is a coach in a cutthroat business. He's not paid to be nice to people, but I bet there have been times during his life, he was nice to people.

He may have shown up but he certainly wasn't invited. Trust, we know where Nick went when he left LSU. We also know on more than one occasion he emphatically said he was not taking the Dolphin job. He even told the AD, who asked him off the record so he could at least save the recruiting season that he was staying eyeball to eyeball, Time was running out with all the other schools signing their up and coming coaches to deals. Steve Spurrier was the guy we wanted to offer but nick lied all over himself and played us and his kids. The day after the bowl loss in January, Nick leaves LSU to fend for itself. Maybe that's why when nick accepted the job at LSU, he took the school plane to Michigan State. The idea was to bring in his assts that he wanted to keep. The plane came back empty. That's still hard to believe even for a prick like Saban.

Saw it at B&N yesterday and read a good portion of the LSU section. It is really good. That man turned LSU around in a fundamental kind of way. We wouldn't be a good football program without Nick Saban. I am pretty confident in saying that, ironic as it is.

Before Saban, LSU lost 40% of its players to academic ineligibility or discipline problems. Saban figured out not only how to get Louisiana talent to LSU, but how to keep them in school, out of trouble, and on the football field.

That may sound simple but it involved serious institutional and cultural changes at LSU. Saban demanded those changes and LSU hasn't been the same since.
