Ya we have no chance now because there are no other running backs on the team or anything. Might as well go ahead and forfeit. 
We have a freshman named Jerry Howard that's been tearing it up in practice and was going to play significant minutes regardless of Mills. Now he gets more minutes. Life goes on.

Its a blow for sure, but BBack is our deepest position. Kirvonte Benson and Quaide Weimerskirsh have been here for 3 and 2 years respectively and Jerry Howard is a freshman who ran the 40 in 1.5 seconds faster than Mills and is just as big as Mills.
Mills missed 4 games last year for suspension and we went 4-0 in that stretch.
Bback in our system is more about the Oline opening holes than sheer RB talent. If the BBack has good numbers its a testament to the Oline since the BBack only really runs up the gut with the occassional cut.
Also last year Mills was the beneficiary of teams taking away the QB and Abacks giving the BBack the most opportunity. Thus the reason that even without Mills we were 4-0. More of a product of the system.
Id be careful celebrating our gut punch. Rumor has it 3 UT players are said to be out vs. GT witn one of them a key defensive lineman.
Karma is a bitch.

Mills calling card was power. He was hardly driven backwards but top enc speed wasnt his thing. That and our system helped him.
