And that could be said about a bunch of players who end up not making it. But some do, partially because of themselves, partially because of the coaching they receive

And some play QB in an offense that is great in college but doesn't prepare them for the NFL.

That being said, Sumlin's job is to win games for his school, not send guys to the NFL ready to play on day 1.

He should be a senior right now.
He definitely could've picked up an extra skill or two, had he not left as a sophomore; but I'd say he did alright for himself.
Recruits aren't stupid.

Recruits should take note of that

Especially QB recruits. They should look to LSU instead.

Except you insinuated Mike Evans would have made the NFL no matter what. I think that's dumb

You honestly think Mike Evans couldn't have gone to any other school and made it to the NFL?

Actually he'd be a 5th year undergrad.

As a student, he was a junior when he left.

How can anyone possibly answer that?
I'm convinced lsu fans just want to argue for argument's sake.
Must be exhausting.

Please tell me exactly how going to aTm made Mike Evans, the 6'5" athletic freak, become a NFL WR.

Did Sumlin teach him how to catch the ball? He sure as shite didn't learn an NFL route tree.

Were we discussing football or degree plans?

Because he was coached by Kevin sumlin for two years?

You think being a big athletic freak automatically makes you a legit player off the bat in a league full of other big athletic freaks?
