Heard he said the Saints were reaching out to him.

Would be funny to see all the tards from tigerrant who trash anyone and everyone who isn't from LSU do an about face and talk about how Murray is the next Brees and will win them a few super bowls.

I agree, especially playing for Payton. Murray has had great QB coaching in college and knows the game as well as any rookie QB. I think Payton would love him.

As much as I would hate him going to the Saints, this is an ideal situation for him.

Dallas would be a good situation as well. They are building up a heck of an offense, him and Romo are somewhat similar, and he definitely wouldn't have to start for a few years.

I would say that Dallas (and Washington) isn't a good situation for anyone right now.

Man, the more I think about the Broncos if Peyton sticks around for a couple years, that's a good situation as well.

What I meant was that Dallas has a great WR group, an emerging young TE, a good running game and a servicable OL. Plus, he wouldn't have to start. That's all I meant really.

And Washington is in a far more precarious place right now than dallas.

I still think that this 3 of the top 5 qbs coming out of this draft class are from the SEC in Manziel, Murray, and Mett.

Honestly, I have a feeling AJM will go above Murray. Not because I think he's a better football player (because he's not) but because of the record his team compiled, he's not coming off a knee injury, and he's taller.

Murray has great intangibles as well. I wish him best of luck in the pros.

His crucial mistakes in critical moments are pretty intangible. Romo-esque even, but without Romo's talent.

I think the injury will be the only thing. The NFL will watch enough film of AJ to know that he's mediocre beyond all belief.

Oh, I didn't mean in the draft, I am talking about in talent and future in career. I am sure some Bama fan will come in and call me butt hurt, but I don't think AJM has starting potential.

The first 2.5 years of his career you can say this, but then again you can say a lot of people weren't the same player as a freshman that they were as an NFL bound senior.

2013 Murray was as legit as you could have hoped for out of him, and 2012 he was pretty damn solid as well. The 2010 and 2011 version of Murray don't really have much bearing on his NFL stock.

NFL scouts are looking at Blake Bortles, who played at UCF over AJ. I think that tells you all you need to know that NFL scouts think about AJ.

He made some crucial mistakes against Clemson. He looked great against LSU, though.

He also led us back to be in position to win. We scored 35 points without Gurley for half the game. If you score 35 points, you can't really blame the loss on one player on offense.

He made one bad mistake against Clemson but played well other than that. You're not going to find a mistake-free QB. Against USCe, LSU, Auburn, etc. he was great.

Agreed. Which is why Manziel is the GOAT.

What about how insanely clutch he was in 2013? Leading the team back against LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Auburn? That's pretty intangible, according to your definition.

I think Aaron Murray is going to be a great pro quarterback. Smart kid, quick release. great competitor. Probably will carry a clipboard for awhile, but I could see him getting his chance.
