Murray and Manziel both are vertically challenged and before anyone mentions Brees...please don't shoot the messenger. NFL thinks with tape measures not hearts. That said...Manziel is an escape artist in the pocket...but he will need a team that throws quickly or he will have short shelf life with being on IR.

Murray is accurate and is a gamer...but he wont escape pass rushers and needs a good OL to help him. He went to rival high school in Tampa in Palma Ceia where its "old money" and kids drive Lexus/Range Rovers to school. Wish him well and we will see how he does.

I'm a fan also. To me, Murray seemed like the most NFL Ready QB in the SEC this year. Because played 4 years in college, he really refined his game the past 2 seasons. If he has enough velocity, then he'll be a decent pick up for a team that has a good o-line.

With the NFL Draft, GMs try to project what the ceiling is compared to others who don't have as much experience (Bortles, Manziel). So they might value upside differently...

McCarron's highlight Gruden reel is holding the ball for the kicker and throwing the ball away vs ND.

These highlights are terrible. Murray's was like him scrambling vs NT and a couple runs vs Vandy and AU. I mean, the dude passed too. On ESPN. For TDs. Someone got lazy as shite.

Don't talk shite about back shoulder fades. There are more than a few opposing CBs who still have nightmares about trying to cover Malcolm Mitchell and Tavarres King on back shoulder fades.

Not doggin' them. Just would have been nice to have the option to go over the top on a quick slant every now and then with the game on the line.

Murray is a back shoulder master though, no doubt.

Heard he said the Saints were reaching out to him. IMO that would be the perfect fit for Murray. Sit and watch Brees for a few years and learn from a guy who isn't the prototypical NFL QB in terms of size.

I agree, especially playing for Payton. Murray has had great QB coaching in college and knows the game as well as any rookie QB. I think Payton would love him.
