You only beat Clemson the first game because several of their best players were hurt. This includes maybe their 2nd best player behind Deshaun Watson missing the entire game

Amazing how things equal out, huh?

I hate to break it to Greg, but the SECCG that year WAS the unofficial National Championship game. Either Bama or Florida would have beaten Texas.

After falling to Bama, Florida went on to stomp #3 Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl. Literal curb stomp. You don't do that to the #3 team in the nation. Brian Kelley was exposed. Tebow set a shite ton of Sugar Bowl records (TDs, yards, etc.) in that game.

Hate to break it? Who would argue that is not true?

Holy shite people it was an entire joke segment. He then followed it up with "we probably would have lost by 40".

I got a kick out of that.

Swope was a blazer. If concussions hadn't done him in, I think he would have played on Sundays.

UF in 2009 is definitely the only team to ever kick the shite out of a highly ranked opponent.

Yeah, that Cincy team was a shell since Kelly had taken the Notre Dame job and screwed them over.

You realize the NCAA doesn't officially recognize national titles in football, right?

LSU claims 3 national titles. 1958, 2003, 2007. They do not claim 1908. Probably because football in 1908 was not modern football.

quote:

In 1908, football used a one-platoon system, with players featuring on offense, defense, and special teams. Also, the field was 110 yards in length, touchdowns were worth 5 points, and field goals earned 4 points. The team that scored a touchdown had the option to kickoff or receive. The ball was also much fatter.

This is just weird. You are arguing for a national championship for LSU that LSU doesn't themselves recognize as a national championship.
