No one called us a darkhorse last year. We won as many as we were supposed to. This year we have the best QB in the conference so that label would actually fit.

until week 3 when the 9 or 10 new starting QBs have had a chance to play and not rely on being rated the best in the conference preseason by default due to attrition. quote:

um, you know what a dark horse team is right? it's a team that wins more than it's supposed to. so, you could call state a dark horse every year and them still win as many as they were supposed to win. like i said, they'll win anywhere between 6 and 8 games, go to a lower tier bowl, and we'll rinse and repeat this cycle again next year.

I really do believe Ole Miss would have a legitimate shot this season.
Their SEC schedule sets up nicely for them:
Home games consisting of: Alabama, Tennessee,
Auburn, and Mississippi State.
Road games consisting of: @ Vanderbilt (Titan's LP Field - practically an Ole Miss home game), @ Texas A&M, @ LSU, @ Arkansas.
If they can upset one of the Alabama schools...
