So is the weed thing just a guess as the reason? By Grant's statement it seemed a little more serious like improper benefits or something.
A little shocked at all 3 even Green. Felt like he had gotten it together. By far the 3 most important on the team IMO.
Don't doubt Grant for a second. He's not scared to suspend some to get their attention. He will eventually get the team where he wants it but this is def a setback.

I think that number is very small, for now anyway.

People that are pissed at grant are monumentally stupid. The fact is, no matter what the rule was, these guys knew there was a rule and broke it anway. You can't sustain a program with dumbasses like that and no matter what happens tonight I applaud Grant for what he's done. No one's above the rules. When Joe Namath got kicked off the team a newspaper immediately wrote "we don't yet know why Coach Bryant has suspended quarterback Joe Namath but we are confident it was justified." THATS the attitude yall should be taken with GRant.

Those guys may be back next week, and they may never be back. Obviously the team isn't as good without them, but I, for one, won't be throwing in the towel. We'll have no depth, and be very young, but Lacey, Randolph, Cooper, Hankerson, and Jacobs is a pretty strong lineup.

Cute. You're trying to insinuate that our players are dumb. We're tied with Vandy for the highest APR in the SEC. Where's LSU?

Yeah but every game is important at this point. Can NOT afford a loss to this team when trying to make the tournament. Especially cause UF is coming up Tuesday...

This one game very well could break your season.

Nah. They're just smart enough not to get caught if they are smokin' up.*

This doesn't sound like a piss test suspension. I think just last season Alabama's athletic policy for a bad piss test was like no suspension on the 1st, then a certain percentage, then suspension, then dismissal or something like that.

This sounds much worse.

* And anyone who is under the illusion that college athletes don't, might as well just walk away from the conversation right now.

Pretty much. That was I was saying. All ready have a shameful loss to South Carolina. No margin for error.

Shouldn't even enter into the decision. "Right is right, even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it." William Penn

no, are you a fricking moron? Would you rather him play players who break his rules with impunity? Would you rather the team garner a culture of doing whatever the frick they want (it alwqays starts small) cause unless you're a total moron, you know how that story ends.

I'd rather have him instill enough discipline in his players to prevent this kind of crap from happening all the time. No one wants to address it, but if 25 or 30 football players had been suspended at various times over the last 2 years, people would be livid.
