For me Mark Ingram's Heisman speech would be up there.

But watch this all the way through. At about the 1:30 moment, the guy goes on and talks about what that game, and moment, meant for Southern football.

Alabama or not, that was actually a cool little clip. I love old, historic videos like that. Wish they had the full documentary online.

I mean, I could list the Michael Johnson catch over Auburn in 2002 which is probably the 2nd biggest play in UGA history but it's not relevant to the OP.

Buck Belue to Lindsay Scott could be up there, but I don't think anything can top Morris.

You are correct, in the 2nd quarter Herschel came in for a couple of plays, 1 of which was a fumbled snap.

You could certainly make an argument for UGA beating Yale in 1929. It was the first time Yale (who was pretty damn good back then) had played a game in the South and UGA thumped them 15-0

Yeah... Mark Ingram's heisman speech, the only heisman speech in Bama history whereas as UGA has had two, was better than anything UGA has ever done.

Some people might even see this years BCS championship as the conference's greatest moment as it featured 2 (two!) SEC teams

Tebow being the first sophomore ever to win the Heisman Trophy (a 76 year old award given to the most outstanding player in all of college football) holds its weight.

The Eli sack....due to the extent, history, and passion of the LSU vs. Ole Miss rivalry (Billy Cannon, Archie Manning, Johnny Vaught, 1972 Jones to Davis, etc.) and the winner won the West. LSU was #3 and Ole Miss was #15. It was like 1960 all over again. It was the biggest game in Oxford in decades. Ole Miss's "chosen one's" son was the starting quarterback on his senior day. The sack eventually led LSU to it's first National Championship in 45 years. It's not that far fetched in my opinion to put it in there.
