It's easy to be a dynasty in a sport where very few schools actually put time, money, and effort into said sport.

That's why I think only football, basketball, and to a lesser extent baseball should qualify. Schools actually care a great deal about those sports because they are the big moneymakers. Any school that can dominate in either of those three sports really accomplishes something. That's why I think UCLA basketball under John Wooden is the greatest dynasty in NCAA history.

If I'm Bing then you are most definitely Aing. No one cares about Track & Field unless they are bragging about how many gold medals their country got at the Olympics.

Just to give you an example. When I first got to UA in 2008, I had a class with someone who was friends with a guy on the track team. He was asked by his track team friend to come out and walk on to the track team. If he was decent, his friend told him, they'd award him a scholarship.

You do realize there are schools in BCS conferences that do not have baseball teams?

How many schools in BCS conferences do not have T&F programs?

LSU baseball the past 20 years. Or women's track with their 11 straight NC.

We have won every Cross Country SEC title since we've joined the SEC.

All that means is Arkansas track stars can't run outside with the exception of the 90's.

We lost 2004 and '05 outdoor NC's because Tyson Gay was given rides to a correspondence course and a place to sleep over a summer. All of which took place not at Arkansas but at a Kansas Comm. College.

What does that have to do is the price of rice in China? Baseball is a distant third to basketball and football in college athletics. The only reason why baseball isn't more popular is because most of the best ball players are drafted into the League right out of high school.

I am not downplaying what Arkansas has accomplished in track, I'm simply saying what they have done is nowhere near as impressive as say FSU football in the 90s or UCLA basketball in the 60s and 70s. Why? Because there is very little parity in T&F.
