Bo is the only athlete named to the Pro Bowl and the MLB All-Star game in the same year.
He was the MVP in that All-Star game hitting a leadoff homer in the 1st inning.
Deion was at best a journeyman baseball player.

A journeyman baseball player who had a higher batting average and on base percentage than Bo.
Over 162 game average, Deion was a 70 SB guy (he only played just over half a season every year because of football).
Bo was a very good baseball player. But there are hundreds of baseball players who played in 1 All Star game. Are you going to start a thread for them, too?

Wasn't Bo also a career backup in Oakland?
How many starts did he get over Marcus Allen? Not many from what I remember.

Not a knock on Bo, but I'm pretty sure he was voted in the MLB all-star game by the fans.

Pretty much that simple. Frankly all the potential in the world doesn't mean shite if you don't accomplish something.
Deion is so far above Bo in the actual achievement category to compare them is laughable.

There's nothing you can point to about Bo's baseball career that says "very good".

Based on what criteria and which voters?
I can make a bullshite top 20 athletes of all time list, too. Does that make it actually mean something?
Bottom line is that this argument is entirely subjective if we're just talking athletic ability. But, in terms of achievements, Bo doesn't hold Deion's jock.

A heisman trophy, one of the best college career's of all time, an NFL pro bowl and MLB all star as well as the greatest YPC average of any NFL RB ever = nothing. I am sure you have accomplished more personally.
Oh yeah, 141 home runs in about 3.5 full baseball season is nothing as well.
Qualifying for the olypics is relatively laughable too.
Bo sucked and never did shite.

And VERY one sided. Deion cannot equal Bo in any major measurable. Maybe speed, but maybe not even that.

Carry on though. Most people recognize Bo as the VASTLY supperior athlete, but your entitled to your opinion.

Bob Gibson was an excellent BBall player at Creighton, a Globe trotter, and One of the greatest Pitchers in MLB history.
Jim Brown was an All American Lacrosse player, good basketball player, and greatest Rb in history of NFL. etc
I would put both of them ahead of Sanders

Uh, Bo and this is not even in question. Deion was not a very good professional baseball player at all.

Yeah but when Bo's bat hit the ball it made "that sound."
Bo did incredible things on the baseball field, even if he had a pedestrian batting average. Deion was more or less a mediocre baseball player.

Deion had a very good year in 1992. It was the best year of his career. That said, it was the only year he batted above .300. Deion was not a great hitter, especially for a gap hitter with no power.
