IF we were to win out and get back to the SEC championship, I think it would be a different game. I think by that points, both defenses will have improved substantially, and although I think the game would still come down to who executed the best on offense, I don't think it would be another 44-41 type game.

That's what I said. At least your reading comprehension is improving. Just seems dumb to throw out Clemson , Georgia, or the game last year against Bama and make statements insinuating LSU had it handed to them. Outside of the '11 MNC nobody has thumped us. Our defense is horrible this year and I don't see any tiger fans arguing that. When you lose in the final minutes I don't consider that being not prepared.

You are f*cking retarded....if LSU just has an average defensive performance this past Saturday, LSU wins by 14+. Gurley running the ball would matter not....

We can all play the what if game. At the end of the day only one thing matters, and that is 44-41.

FIFY.... Makes about as much sense as the original though.

If is a very powerful word. It fuels hope and optimism.

If anything a rematch in the SECCG (unlikely LSU will be there over Bama) I see UGA winning by more. Gurley missing as much time as he did would have only made matters worse.

Mett not being able to execute a 2 minute drive to get within FG range made me lose a little respect for the Heisman hopeful. There were some AWFUL throws on that last drive. The drive that meant everything.

Apparently Murray has turned a leaf this year and is alot more confident after the Clemson game. He looked alot more comfortable and wasnt forcing anything when they marched the field to take the lead.

I havent seen enough out of Mett to feel comfortable with him leading a game winning comeback against a solid team. This past Saturday proved that.

I don't get this. How many stops did LSU have in the second half? Georgia was scoring regardless, so the fact you have Gurley would have made zero difference. You would have scored quicker? The only way that would have mattered is if Georgia was somehow not able to sustain a drive at the end and run out the clock, which was obviously not the case.

The talent is there. We just replaced 9 drafted players from defense. It is going to take a little while for the talent to gel and play to potential, but it is there.

If UGA didn't have 3 true freshmen starting on defense Zach doesn't convert a 3rd and 20. The game would have been over. Just saying

Should really be more concerned about that defense...

Remember all the LSU posters telling us that all those players leaving early for the draft wouldn't make one difference in their defensive production this season? Some even said, it would be "addition by subtraction", and that the replacements would be just as good and even better.........

Exactly... but now the narrative is "they are just as talented they just havent had the game exposure"

It was wishful thinking... They cant reload and immediately expect not to take a step back.

If A&M had a defense we woulda beat Bama by 40. See how much sense that doesnt make

Yea I think we all get that. The point I was trying to make is that we weren't ill prepared and throwing out games against Clemson and Bama from last year as well as Georgia this year ( all games that we had leads and lost in the final minutes) doesn't make sense. Last year we had a good defense but 3rd and Chavis blew both of those games. This year we just don't have a good D. As bad as they played we still were in position to win until 3rd and Chavis appeared again against Georgia.

I guess we need to find a better way to prepare our D Coordinator to finish off games, but I certainly wouldn't say that the team was ill prepared
