Except they did want him. They being the actual team that tried to get him to stay and not shut-in incels on message boards coping after the fact.

You know how we know you are a real Auburn fan? You are celebrating going .500 against Alabama.

As long as Bruce keeps running this state you can celebrate your lucky wins in Tuscaloosa with your cute hard hats.

I’ll take 13 losses and a trip to the Final Four.

Moral of the story is Bama needs to play Grand Canyon more often.

It is amazing what a tourney run does to a pretty bad end of a season. Bama somehow held onto a 4 seed and looked like dogshit against the upper tier of the SEC.

But that’s what happens in March. Especially, if you get the kind of path that they got. Grand Canyon was their toughest game outside of the loss to UConn.

Hats off to y’all’s AD getting you into that bracket. Perks paying off.

Grant NelsonHe was fun to watch last year. Really like his game.

Yeah , partisanship aside , enjoyed watching him play. Didn't
think he'd be back but another good season with improvement should
elevate him in the draft.

Nelson is going to have to work on that awkward jump shot of his and become a better defender to make it in the league. He’s got the potential and athleticism but still a ways to go.

Dude has that fire in him. Unfortunately for yall, he kinda disappeared in the second half vs UCONN. If he can improve consistency and improve his pull ups he will go far.

And will get to actually play the 4 instead of having to try and play the 5 out of position.

Can’t emphasize this enough.

Grant Nelson with a rim protector is a totally different player.

He’s not in foul trouble.

He’s not getting banged up all day.

Just the foul issue is probably good for 4-5ppg as he can be on the court more.

The weakest one seed and best matchup for Bama. Not a knock. Path unfolded very favorably.

The funny thing about AU basketball fans, all of which started watching just 5 years ago, is that they don’t understand that GCU did more in this tournament than Kentucky has in about half a decade. They think beating a Cal coached KY team in the tourney is hard, and that Yale, Oakland, and St. Peter’s are apparently strong opponents while GCU sucks. Never change Aubbies

When your assistant coach pushes this out after losing by 18 in your last matchup everyone knows by then.

And memorializing a play that occurred in a 14 point loss is adorable.

Kentucky couldn't beat Oakland, but can beat Bama. Thanks for the heads-up.

Everything will make sense if you admit yall dont care about winning in the regular season. Lost 4-6 to finish the regular season. A triumphant success!
