I would give:
Offense a C: pass protection was suspect. Our backs better start blocking better. Hilliard, Blue, and Ford embarrassingly outstanding.

Special teams A-: Alleman missed a make-able one

Defense A-: Mingo, Johnson, and Logan all beasts.

UF:

Offense: C-
Didn't have high expectations, with two unseasoned QBs and a new offense. Definitely need to open up the passing game more, but Muschamp admitted to playing run, run, run... Which, btw, looked impressive to me. Gillislee ran well, especially on the counter to the weak side (TD).

I felt in my heart like Driskel gave us the better chance to win. When it was evident we weren't going to run away with the game, Boom made the right call keeping one QB in the game, regardless of who it was. Jeff, getting more action in the 1st half was probably the best call.

The 3rd and short run plays we will be able to convert, once we open up the passing game, so no worry there. Hard to run with 8/9 guys in the box.

Driskel will be fine... and I think Brissett will be fine if given the opportunity. Jeff has to throw that ball away, not run out of bounds, and work on hitting guys in stride.

Defense: C+
Has got to tighten up. Not sure if bad playcalling, or just being out of position, but the 3rd and 6 or so where BG ran right up the middle 10 yards untouched can not happen. Looked like the DBs were playing way off, but when they clamped down, we saw an INT and a few good pass breakups.

Special Teams: B-
One missed FG on a tip, need to address the assignments. Punt returns looked good (Debose impressed me).

Absolutely hate new kickoff rules!

Coaching: D
The penalties, the pooch kick, the consecutive 4th down failed conversion attempts, even switching QBs once, and the stubbornness not to throw more than 1 out of 8 times on 3rd down give the coaching staff, particularly the HC a D-. Calling it a D, because I really want to believe in Boom. Call it wishful thinking.

Team: C
I think we saw a lot of 1st game mistakes. Reduce penalties, open up playbook, and continue to run north and south, and I think we will improve on last year.

Don't do these things, 6 wins tops.

I do feel like we will beat A&M.

UGA
Offense: B-. Showed the efficiency to score easily an quickly against an inferior opponent but Murray was totally inconsistent/inaccurate and made you scratch your head a few times.

Defense: B-. Played base D all game with 4 starters out. Started a walk on at safety who got worked all game. Miscommunication on the field in your home stadium is a head scratcher. Uncomfortable with how Buffalo went up and down the field a couple times but D showed flashes of what we expected from them. 1st game so they get a small pass for that.

Special teams: A-. True F punter and kicker performed well. K missed one kick from 45 but hit everything else. Return game was much better than expected including Gurley taking one to the house. New kickoff rule will help UGA tremendously because touchbacks can't be returned for TDs or across the 50 much like ST from last year.

Overall B. didn't do much as far as game plan on O and D because game was never in question. Didn't reveal much for next week. Expect this team to get better for sure.

Offense- B. conservative play calling was in full effect but the few times mett was given the chance to throw down the field passes were completed. In one sequence three screens were ran followed by an immediate three tosses.

Defense-A. Reid undercut a slat and missed resulting in an 80 yard touchdown. Other than that, NT had 1 sustained drive for a td.

Special teams-A. Beckham returned a punt for a td and wing and wings backup are the shite. Alleman missed a 34 yarded but also made a 44 and 30 later in the game.

UGA

Offense - B...Running game looked very solid especially for 2 true FR. AM was not consistent but still made a few great throws. the WR's only dropped 1 or 2 passes and were fighting for solid YAC. Offensive Line was good not great for a inexperienced line.

Defense - C+...The D was missing 4 starters, 3 being in the secondary. D did not give up a first down in the entire 3rd qtr. DLine was getting decent pressure at times. LB's made a lot of plays but left plenty out there. Secondary looked suspect leaving big gaps in the zones.

Special Teams - B...All kickoffs into endzone. True Fr Punter made some great punts. Fr PK missed first FG and looked like the nerves of the first game got to him (Kevin Butler missed his first FG when was at UGA...DGD)

Alot of good with about 10 true Fr seeing action. Need to make some strides this week to get ready for Mizzou.

It was Buffalo and we had a bunch of players out on defense and we are playing with just 70 scholarship players in the first place. Every injury will be critical. As such, I predict a worse than expected season with several losses. By the end of the season we could actually be down to 65 or fewer players who could actually get on the field.

I agree. Do you think it was worse than the Miami OH game that opened 2010?

Offense - A

Passing offense looks to be near the top of the league, running was unconventional but effective.

Defense - B+

A lot of pressure from the front 7, LBs looked really impressive to me. Secondary didn't look GREAT, but somehow they came up with four interceptions.

SP - C

Missed PAT, didn't look confident taking field goals. Coverage was good though.

Offense: B-/C+

Rushing game was as good as could be expected with the injuries we were dealing with....it has to be remembered that Shaw is as big a factor in our run game as anyone else after Lattimore, and probably bigger: his effectiveness as a rusher in the zone read and option helps make Lattimore or any other RB more effective, and vice-versa. When he was injured, not only was our passing game gone, but our rushing game became crippled as well. The passing game needs to improve a LOT, and our pass blocking does as well....

Defense: A-/B+

The pressure on Rodgers was as good as could be expected. One dumb play that allowed an 80-yd TD, and a couple other miscommunications that allowed for big completions when we had Rodgers scrambling for his life were really the only issues I saw, and those generally correct themselves with time, repetition, and experience.

Special Teams: D

Still having issues with coverages, and both kick-offs and punts were on the short end...

(pass D outside of Lester and Milliner was shakey, hope it is fixed before Arkansas)

Return - B Christion Jones missed a few holes, hopefully he works at it and gets better.

Not really. The 10 opener was a clusterfrick pf epic proportions because UF was projected to be competing for a NC that year with all of the "talent" on that team.

That damn offense couldnt snap the ball let alone pass it

Offense : c-

QB play was poor, with a few spots of decency, but overall poor. The offensive line played well, and Emory Blake/Lutzenkirchen were fine. Our RBs looked good, but overall bad penalties and turnovers killed our momentum. We looked incapable of coming up with a good play when we needed one most.

Defense: C-

Our defense looked tougher than last year, but still had missed tackles and still let up a crap ton of yards and played incredibly soft in coverage. Just a poor, poor showing against a team missing their top playmaker. Bright spot was the defensive line, specifically the DEs, but Boyd made plays that neutralized their prescense, and then they got tired, and then our defense was inept.

Special Teams: A

Didn't see anything of concern here. Boulware is money.
