If you like X's and O's, this is a good article on the foundation of UFs offense.

That was a good write up. After reading that I cant figure out why most offenses don't put a man in motion. 90% of the time that can tell you if the defense is in man or zone. I also like some of those triple tightend sets he did last year, when if the D put dbs on the field to combat the offense we switched the play to a run and vice versa if it was line backers or dlineman, we went to the pass. We did that trips tightend thing like only 3 or 4 series but it was unstoppable. Hope to see more of that. I don't recall ever seeing him run that at Bama.

UF and LSU pretty similar both need a QB. Both have all of the pieces just need someone to distribute the damn ball.

Good read. His style of coaching is what UF needed.

Oh yeah, we definitely needed his coaching style. Driskel was interviewed last year by a La Tech reporter and was asked what is the difference between the Ltech offense and the UF offense. Driskel said were actually trying to score points here instead of winning the time of possession battle.

Why does Miles insist on getting spread QB's to run a pro style offense. No trolling, it's amazing to me. You get one of them game manger types. Y'all probably have another NC or 2.

And there it is. A good post on the X's and O's of football devolving into a shitty troll thread on the rant.

Pre-season ribbing not trolling. Having fun with the rivalry.

Honestly, if McElwain could do what y'all did last year without a QB I'll be interested to see what he can do WITH one... Just not at WLOCP

Warmest Regards,
Yankee

I think that 3 TE formation went off the playbook when Lewis was banged up.

Hopefully Moral Stephens can step up and be that third TE.

No matter what there will be a ton of 2 TE formations with Lewis and Goolsby.

I'm rooting for Goolsby to have a big year this year. My wife taught him in HS. He took some flak for dropping those passes against Michigan last year. I'm hoping that Mac will find a way to get him involved in the offense more this year. I think he could be really good.

That's probably why he is trying to get 2 tightends a recruiting class. So injuries can't stop him from running those trip TE sets.

I know right. Believe me there is not an LSU fan on the planet who hasn't asked that question over and over the last several years. I can't understand what he thinks about. The man just has no foresight or imagination.

This article lacks coherence. Mostly just rambling.
